The guys huge, he sandbags his way to LHW, he knows hes not going to get the Stevenson fight, and hes beaten everyone but stevenson. So why not move on up?
Kovalev is pretty big, he was 189lbs vs Pascal and Hopkins. He can campaign at CW successfully if he wanted to. There aren't any killers up there. Pascal and Hopkins were 182lbs so they rehydrated 7lbs to Kovalev's 14lbs. Then he hits hard. So he's a big LHW who hits hard and is heavier than you. I don't know how Hopkins took that assault in the end, all those clean punches he just took them standing.
He's not getting $2m to fight Mohammedi, or Chilemba/whatever other soft touches he has access to, either. Rather than being a body coming to fight Huck, Kovalev would come in while being somewhat of a name; his pay is likely to increase accordingly.
Chilemba is Stevenson's mandatory, I doubt you'll be calling him a soft touch if they fight because he's actually a highly skilled boxer capable of the upset.

Lol it's a 25 pound jump bro! Andre Ward cleaned out his division three yrs ago and is still shook about moving up a measly 7 pounds.

Reminds me of Andre Ward and the imaginary cleaning of the division by his fans.
Ridiculous. Hucks opponents make peanuts, and Hbo is not paying a fat license fee for an early afternoon fight at cruiser lol

OP is upset that Kovalev is going to finish what Boone started.
Because Boone has had such an illustrious career right? lol Your a Clippers fan, so I suppose you think the wannabe Lakers can take out Houstan too... haha
Go to Germany and fight Marco Huck, or go to the and fight Tony Bellew. Bring HBO along, hoping that they open up their pockets for the fights, add it to the local money being put together, and he could come close to 2 million dollars.
doubt that he gets anywhere near that number staying at 175 (especially without the Stevenson fight, due to hasty contract efforts).
Huck has signed with PBC and plans to fight in the US. After the way he squashed Cleverly there would be little interest in a Bellew fight for Kovalev.
Yes, Canada (Quebec) is so far. And i said America, not USA.
Good comeback, but you know you meant the U.S. lol Im not here to argue regardless, just give an opinion. I'll tell you like I tell everyone else, if you dont like my threads, simply dont read them. I dont reply to dumb threads or threads Im not interested in.
There are no significant cruisers in America, why should he leave light heavy now that he has established himself and is under contract with HBO?
Dumb thread
Theres no significant LHW's in the U.S. either. Dumb post

Be honest can he earn 2million if he was to go up to that division.

From what Ive read about him, he can barely make 175 right now without going through extreme measures and wanting to kill everyone in his camp, I doubt he makes a couple years.
He always makes weight, it just on fight night he rehyrates as 185-189
