Perhaps this should have been dubbed as Round for Round because the bigger questions is what round will GGG stop Monroe?https://www.throwdownfantasy.com/games/join_game/554cf66d9b8db
:boxing::boxing::boxing:
you don't know who monroe is? he's the best prospect in boxing. ggg's fighting a young lion with a slick southpaw style. floyd's never fought anyone like this in his entire career lol. if ggg does win you will pretend that monroe was a bum. this happens every time he fights. sound familiar?
Oh i wont pretend im saying it straight up. Right now. No idea who he is but if you say hes good then ok
No idea who Monroe is but casuals will love it.

Gennady uses the first round as a feeling out round and doesn't throw a single punch.
And then knocks out Monroe in the first tenth of the first second of the second round.
Quillin could not make weight the first time, Lee will not give him a second shot. WBO may even refuse to sanction the fight especially now, seeing as how they are part of the suit against Haymon in court.
Lee has to fight his mandatory and it would be a more lucrative fight to rematch quillim
quillin fights on undercards. lee only made 500k in the first fight. maybe if haymon comes up with a million or so which is prob what he would make for a ggg fight but then again would lee want to fight on another undercard instead of being the headliner?
Loeffler has already said they are ready to offer a very attractive package to Lee for a unification fight. As for Cotto-Canelo, Golovkin has not accepted to step aside and there is every chance that he will refuse to. GGG wants a guarantee to fight the winner and Cotto refuses to make that guarantee, that is how much he does not want to fight GGG. So I expect Cotto-Canelo to be a non-title fight and GGG either to be promoted to full WBC champion or to fight for the title against whoever WBC can get to get in the ring with him.
More lucrative to rematch Quillin? No it wouldn't. Fighting in a main event on HBO against GGG will pay better than fighting on an undercard on PBC. Plus who is to say team Quillin will even want a rematch, not sure if he's even made a decision to stay at 160 or move to 168 since Peter has failed to make weight a couple times now, obviously getting quite difficult for him to make weight.
As for Lee's mandatory, that's Billy Joe Saunders. BJS can make good step aside money again, certainly not impossible that he would take some more cash and move aside.
I'm sure HBO/GGG will make a generous offer to Andy Lee for a unification bout.
You think hbo is going to offer lee 1 mill? that is more than what ggg makes. Quillin has daddy warbucks. And yea quillin said he wants a rematch in NY
Monroe isn't a bum he's a solid fighter. His style and boxing abilities should at least test GGG.
Golovkin took what he could get. Cotto, Canelo, Quillin, Andy Lee, N'dam, Lemieux and others had fights lined up or were flat out not interested. If it wasn't Monroe, it would be a guy like Heiland or Johnson. Not many options for the May date.
After this we assume there will be a bigger fight available, even then its tricky since Golovkin is mandatory to Cotto's belt but more than likely Cotto will fight Canelo. So probably the best he can do is unify against Andy Lee end of this year and push for a fight with winner of Canelo vs Cotto next year.

Golovkin will stun and knock him down within the first three or four rounds and then take a number of rounds to get in some work against an unfamiliar style and put him down for good in the 9th or 10th. Of course the fight may end very quickly if Monroe cannot take Golovkin's power.
Actually I wouldn't be shocked if he doesn't!
I got GGG winning for sure but it is a good chance Monroe gets it to the cards. It is a good style for GGG to test himself against! Of he set traps and shows he can cut the ring then he blast Monroe out within 4-6. If he can't cut the ring off and walk him down and Monroe avoid his Traps and Power then GGG by UD!
That Tony Harrison KO is filthy.
