I was watching first take, and stephan A. said he got a text from Floyd and his team stating that Manny got less than 40 Million for this fight. Is there any truth to this, or is there away I can researcht his further.
Come on people. You seriously can't be this dense.
How could he make less than $40 million if he's (on record) getting 40% of the fighter share of revenue on a fight that reportedly did 6 million buys?
Is anyone out there really stupid enough to believe that?
You would hope not, but...
Of course Manny will have to pay off debts, expenses, and of course taxes, but his gross pay will be way more than 40 million.

Arum said 25m last week.
I find that hard to believe, Manny had a $25 million guarantee vs Algieri so I'm sure he's made more from the biggest fight in boxing history.
Manny has one of the old school rip off deals that fighters used to get before Haymon or being smart enough to go on their own, my guess is he walks away with 40% of his stated purse after tax and Arum.
So if it is $120-150 he will probably walk away with $50-60 million.
I know Floyd was walking around showing his $100Million check post-fight. Hopefully Manny got a decent check as well, before Arum gets a hold of it.

pacman gets the biggest payday and insults floyd.
Floyd mad as hell b1tching on tv.
With the ppv being a projected 5 million buys, both fighters will make significantly more than what was projected. Manny will get somewhere near or just over 150 million before tax or paying his promoter and trainer. I don't even think there's a point in speculating what PBF will get. It's stupid money. It would be worth facing Manny again for the money alone if nothing else.
Nah, it was Roach that said that and it was in relation to him having to concede to 60-40 instead of 50-50. That direct quote was
“He’s not that happy with his purse that much,” Roach said about Pacquiao’s displeasure with his 60/40 purse split for tonight’s fight. “He really doesn’t like this guy . The ring will be cut off , and we will throw a lot of punches. If he throws that long jab to the body, he will be knocked out.”
He probably made a bit more than $60-70 million after tax, promotion fees, training fees etc. maybe. Unless the rate Arum gets is ridiculous.
You're right, it was Roach.
Bob Arum said Pacquiao wasn't happy with his purse. I don't know what the numbers were.

He gets a 50m check. Arum+company get a 50m check. Pacquiao gets another 60-70m check from PPV..
Even if Arum rips Pacquiao off, Manny still walks away with 100m plus easily.
No he doesn't.
