Understandably boxers go into matches against GGG & try to use lateral movement & fight off the backfoot. But don't boxers realize that plays into his game? GGG cuts off the ring as good if not better than Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. did, so when boxers move especially ones that are not used to it, it helps him because they stay at the end of his punch. Personally I think the way Whittaker fought chavez is how to beat ggg, keep him in the center of the ring & smother his punches. Also a massive amount of squats in training camp will help lol. Of course I know it's easier said than done but that Tyson effect is certainly in full effect right now.
Do you agree?
i think you beat him by pretending you aren't in the same weight division cotto/canelo style.
Canelo says he'll eventually fight GGG but they're in different divisions right now. But he'll eventually move up
my mistake
So who's German?
Prior to Golovkin's move to Abel Sanchez, his entire professional career had been fought in Germany, he'd spent the last decade living in German, and, for the most part, decided to make his life in Germany.
a simple mistake that changed none of the context of the actual statement. be proud of yourself.
Youre acting like ggg has beat elite fighters, he hasnt. even you know that. No matter how much you bull****, quillin is still his best opponent. And stop acting like quillin didnt drop lee.
Golovkin has power and bullies guys, but hes literally wide open to get hit whenever hes coming forward, he just hasnt faced anyone with enough power to hurt him and back his ass up
And who exactly has Quillin beat? Murray would beat Quillin and I would also give Geale a more than even chance of beating him. Before the Stevens fight everyone was saying Stevens would knock GGG out because he was so easy to hit. Yeah, sure. Same thing before the Rubio fight. Macklin was supposed to have a great chance to beat him as was Geale. Murray was thought to be able to beat him as well.
Not one of them came close. Nowhere NEAR close.
Then there are idiots like Garcia who claim on YouTube that Macklin hit GGG with 52 jabs in one round when he didn't even come close to landing that many punches total in the fight.
We keep hearing the same thing. As soon as GGG meets someone with enough power to hurt him and back him up we will see a change. Well you can say that about ANY FIGHTER IN THE WORLD! And who do people pick for this task? Ward! A guy who is not a power puncher, a guy who does not back his opponents up, a guy who clinches, head butts and runs away.
Come back when you have some decent names to present as opponents at 160. I certainly cannot come up with anyone.
Say what you want but golovkin hasnt beat any a level elite fighters, his best win is murray. Once he faces a guy who has power and can back him up, then ppl will see if hes as good they say he is.
ppl laugh but quillin also has power and can punch , also is faster than golovkin, he can also land big shots on golovkin and can knock him out too if he hits him hard enough
Yeah, sure. The same way he backed up Lee and stopped him? Quillin is an over rated clown who would not last three rounds against GGG. Golovkin threw double the amount of punches in the Murray fight than Lee and Quillin COMBINED threw in their fight. Golovkin is so far above both of them that it is not even funny.
Thanks for the laugh.
Ya, who knows what will happen when he steps up, but I'm confident he will be fine based on his performances. I'll use broner as an example. People were slobbering over broner and he was barely scraping by guys like ponce de Leon. Once he stepped up he lost, and since then people realize hes nothing special. How you win matters. Meanwhile ggg has been smashing that caliber of opponent. Kovalev was doing the same thing, smashing solid opponents and once he stepped up he proved how good he is. I see the same success for ggg.
How you win doesn't matter. How you deal with adversity matters. In Broner's case when he stepped up to face Paulie the adversity he faced was return fire and he basically just stood there and took it. Never bothered to move out of the way after firing his own shots. Adversity PUT A LIGHT ON HIS FLAWS. I love GGG but I would like to see how he faces, IDK, a KD or losing some rounds. Though I think he would pass that test I would still like to see it.
I'll get more of a gauge on him when he fights a puncher. Unfortunately for us 160 is not a big punching division but soon he will face the likes of a Lemiuex, Canelo Cotto or a Jacobs or Quillin who any of those would be the biggest puncher he's fought yet. Then I can gauge where he really is. He's been walking through these light punchers. Stevens was probably the hardest puncher, and although he lost a lopsided fight, he had a few moments.
I'm looking forward to it. The division isn't even that terrible, guys just dont fight each other. Although that seems to be changing.
Thanks for the laugh.

He hasnt really faced any elite legit fighters to prove how good he is, all hes really proved is that hes powerful and good at knocking out b and c level fighters. Put him in the ring with Ward or atleast Quillin and watch him have a hard time.He is still unproven
Thanks for the laugh.
You're absolutely right. GGG looks every bit the beast he is being made out to be, right now.

That's what I'm saying too..who the fuk are murray, geale and the next bum he's fighting lol ?
Résumé isn't great but he's obliterated some solid guys. I don't think he's lost a round in years.

He's nothing special. If you want to legitimize him to make GGG more accredited then go for it. That's up to you. I call it for what it is. I'm not going to sugar coat and spice up his or anyone else's resume.

Daniel Geale doesn't have a pulse? You haters kill me with this stuff

You gotta be able to establish range and either give GGG a reason to back up or have the footwork to keep him at bay. A natural middleweight with decent power and a good game plan could give GGG the goods. Someone who can take a certain amount of his power and attack with precision and volume. I'd say the body is a good starting place. Ripping shots to his body early would slow down and weaken his come forward approach.
