We couldn't believe how hard he hit him in the 4th, we all stopt to watch him do it, we couldn't believe how hard he hit him, it was like Foreman here, very impressive!
Then he stopped!
Very suspicious me thinks!
We weren't impressed at all!
Rematch!
Pacman hit him flush and jumped on him but mayweather wasnt that hurt and kept a tight defence, pac was hardly going to punch himself out on mayweathers arms hes way to experienced for that ****. No way was it a fix.
Because the shots weren't landing, and he didn't want to risk punching himself out, or get countered.
Seems logical when you actually give it some thought.
The shots were landing, great straight left to the face puts him onto the ropes then 3-4 of the follow-up shots landed.
However, they were mostly to the body so maybe that's why Pacquiao backed off, he is primarily a head-hunter. Still should've kept him there and stuck to the body imo.
No fix, but why did Pacquiao step back in the 4th? that made no sense to me.

They said the gameplan was to not throw 6,7,8 punch combos, to prevent leaving him open for a counter.
Could have also been because he was hitting a lot of arm with those shots, and didn't want to exhaust himself.
Could have also been to give everyone on Boxingscene an excuse.
Maybe he realized that he wasn't going to knock him out with a flurry.
maybe, the commentators suggested he didn't want to punch himself out but I saw that round again yesterday and he didn't look close it.
From memory he got some good bodyshots in but he just missed with an uppercut that he should've been throwing repeatedly, I dunno, I just think if you have Floyd Mayweather on the ropes taking shots you shouldn't let him out.

You mean their plan was to counter the counter puncher AND take away just about anything Manny does well? They made Floyd's job even easier. :lol1:

Could have been because he remembered that his shoulder was supposed to be hurt, and he needed to stop throwing right hand shots.
If the fight was fixed why didn't they make it a better fight. Some said Arum paid Clottey to lose to Pacquiao which also makes no sense. If Arum paid Clottey to lose then why not have Clottey get KOed in spectacular fashion instead of going 12 dull rounds of covering up and throwing so few punches making it a terrible fight. So if this fight was truly fixed why didn't they have Mayweather and Pacquiao fight an exciting toe to toe brawl with both men pulling their punches? Why would they fix the fight so it ended up being a dull, lousy fight with little action or punches thrown by either man? Who exactly would benefit from fixing the Pac-May fight so it ended up being the kind of sh&tty fight it was? I am a Pacquiao fan but he lost fair and square. If Floyd was just too good for him or Pacquiao had an off night or the hurt shoulder messed him up or a combination of those things I don't know. I don't believe the fight was fixed in any way.
It was just all too much too swallow.
The way he was hitting him so hard with those shots, just like Foreman did...
Had the WHOLE pub stop to watch in disbelief the way he was hitting him!
And then just to STOP like that???
The fix is in.. Indeed!
You heard it first on this thread remember ;) ;)
Rematch!
Definitely!
I was in awe when he started winging in shots similarly to foreman!
He does it much better than the weightlifters!
