Do you put yourself forward into the cult of Lomasexuals? Are you willing to put your judgement on the line? Do you BELIEVE or are you unwilling to allow the Lomasexual spirit into your heart?
Stake your claim - right here, right now.
WILL LOMACHENKO BECOME P4P #1 AND THE FUTURE "STAR" OF BOXING?
A simple Yes or No in the poll, and we will look back in years to come to see who DNKSAB, or who placed their faith and were rewarded.
Vote now, my brothers! :firedevil:hail:
So it looks like Loma will be fighting Rigondeaux next...one step closer to P4P #1?
Also, I'm sure most of us would prefer this fight than Loma fighting Walters, or am I wrong?
War Loma and good luck to El Chacal...he will need it.
LomaBelievers unite and rise up, because the leader is going into his biggest battle yet!
Who wants to join us?? :boxing:
His last opponent was nothing special but he still looked phenomenal. Proof you can be a master boxer without running away. Loma was swarming him relentlessly and slipping everything while doing it.
Even fight for me right now. I won't pick a winner until it's officially on. I like to take my time analyzing fight's lol.
Haha, well - this isn't so much a vote for the near future - it could come to fruition 5 years down the line - it's just about whether Loma will ever get to #1 p4p at any point in his career. I don't know if a loss to Walters now would even spell an end to that, considering potential rematches and the time left in Loma's career.
Get your votes in ahead of the tentatively scheduled fight with Walters in October! :boxing:

I'm definitely a believer, he's my favorite boxer for sure! The only thing that worries me is that he may have brittle hands. Marcos Villegas posted a tweet that he got suspended due to an injury on his right hand. I'm hoping he didn't injure it and it was just for him to be cautious since he did injure it the fight before.
The hand may be a problem to my plan but I was hoping to see him fight two more times this year and 4 times next year. Right now that he is young plus he's a fighter that learns every time he steps in there so might as well keep him active at the start of his career, can't have him fight only twice a year right now imo.
He's obviously not naturally heavy handed, but he punches with enough speed, technique and accuracy that he does hurt his opponents. Kind of like a WW Floyds power. Not huge, but definitely not something you can just ignore.
Yep, and he has hurt every opponent he has faced. Some people are underestimating his punch.
His lack of puncher power is concern, and so are his hand injuries. He's got all the other tools though.
Injuries plural? He has had 1 fight where he injured a hand and managed to win that fight using 1 good hand and still managed to throw a ****-ton of punches to get an easy win.
Too early to be talking about recurring or regular injuries until a pattern develops or emerges.

That's the whole point of this particular poll - it is meant to not allow people to be half-hearted and say 'possibly' or 'maybe, if'. Anyone can say that. Clearly, it is almost a certainty that he 'could' be. It is about seeing who truly believes he will make it to P4P#1, or he won't. When it happens or it doesn't, we can see who was right or wrong and that's the fun.
Record doesn't mean much, in terms of the numbers. At 4-1 he already has a better resume than some guys with 20-0 resumes or such. If Loma was brought up the standard pro way, he could probably have reached 40-0 before fighting a Salido type fighter, and won with all that experience. He took that huge risk in his 2nd fight, and I really don't see anyone that would be beating a guy like Salido in their 2nd fight, not based off of skill level, but simply the experience gap, as well as everything else against him on the night (Salido's weight, constant fouling etc).
Lomochenko beat salido easily on that night, and thats factoring in his fouls and being 10 stone over the weight limit....
You're right he wasn't on point. However what's really strange for me that it seems like on this site the fanbase of Ukranian and Russian fighter (and Golovkin) are pretty the same and I don't really see that they support any other fighters. And yeh a war going on right now between them so it feels particularly strange.
Your sig states that your favourite fighters are all North or South American. Obviously geographical/patriotic reasoning comes into which fighters you support. That's not to say you don't follow or like to watch other fighters, just not necessarily associating yourself to the fighter as part of his fan base.
I like to watch most fighters indiscriminately, regardless of race or nationality...I just like to see good fights.
BUT, of course, I am not ashamed to admit I want my own countrymen to do better especially...but that's normal.
Lazy poll...
Not enough options, too polarised.
Depends on what you call a "believer" and "non-believer". Do I believe that he is talented and will do good in the future? Yes. Do I believe that the hype around him is deserved and he will be a future P4P star? Based on what saw from him so far: hell no. I don't give a single fuck about anybody's amateur resume, in the pros everyone starts from zero for me, Loma is no exception and I think that this sickening hype (4-1 resume and people already put him on P4P lists and call gim future P4P star) is exist because his amateur record. If you wouldn't know about that he would be just another talented prospect.

I feel sorry for the Russian boxing fans. All of your fighters are either obscenely racist, afraid to step up in competition, or show no skill whatsoever. Loma is of the ladder portion. He's truly NOTHING special at all and shows no signs of being anything special in the future. Please tell me what this guy has done or what he does that's extraordinary?
You're a retard of epic proportions.

OK so ignore his amateur career completely, why not.....I'm not being sarcastic.
Now go watch his 5 pro fights, and tell me what you see.
Watch his fight with Salido.....Salido had what 20lb on him fight night? And Salido is a damn good veteran and watch that fight.
The kid is special.
I'd give Rigo the nod at this very moment, but its true he was born in 1980 he's getting old and for how long he has been in the sport and the little exposure and promotion that he has received it's highly unlikely he will become a big star.......which ****ing sucks because he is an incredible talent.

This is no doubt one of THE dumbest and most ignorant posts i've ever seen on BoxingScene, and that is REALLY saying something. Crawl back into your hole you pathetic race baiting troll because sadly YDKSAB. :bottle:
that guy is one of the worse trolls in nsb, yet he hasn't been banned yet. they will ban you for posting silly things (like videos) outside the master threads but not for being an ignorant racist :lol1:
Can't say I know what the future holds for him , but so far he's been a pleasure to watch and seems to have the right attitude (he mentioned after his last fight that he needs to earn a p4p spot by facing and beating p4p fighters). He's talented, skilled, young, and exciting to watch so I look forward to watching how he develops as he faces better and better competition. he also has a very early pro loss which could help to keep both himself and boxing fans honest.
