Just as a customary to get those belts. 3 lineal championships accross 3 wieght divisions at once. Then retire and release them all. That would be pretty epic IMO
Winning the lineal title against a fighter you already beat comprehensively isn't that impressive
comprehensively is a strong word and implies mayweather completely dominated cotto and embarrassed him. That wasn't the fight I saw. Floyd sweeped the last 4 rounds because cotto gased out. simple as that. Cotto wasn't outclassed he was out conditioned.
Why would anyone want to see a rematch of a fight that wasn't competitive the first time around.
Becuase it was a competitive fight. Cotto was getting in his ass Rounds 7-8 and ran out of gas 9 onward. Looking at the score cards it would seem that it was t competitive. But it just seems that wAy. 1-6 was back in forth. So if Cotto is in same condition As he was against martinez the the fight would be very interesting. Can't say he will win but I'll would watch to find out.
Cotto is fighting Canelo in September sorry Floyd go hug somebody else.
Unless Kirkland wins. If that happens, I expect Cotto vs Mayweather rematch to materialize. Cotto wants it, and if Floyd is interested it will get made.
Fck that I want Cotto in action fights And Canelo is the fight that needs to happen.
It will I assure you. Cotto is all business. Floyd then Canelo then ggg/ career.
HE ALREADY HAS A CLEAR WIN OVER COTTO.. beating him again is a complete waste of time. His win over Cotto was one of his best wins and good for his legacy but i'm saying another win really doesn't add much.
Anyway it's not even a realistic fight for 2015, Cotto fighting Geale in June then Canelo sometime later this year, now that's a good fight. SOMETHING WE HAVEN'T ALREADY SEEN.
Ok so Guerrero is his best win? what happened to him not being an improvement on Karras? ok then.
:bottle::bottle::bottle:
Keep thinking someone is going to outbox Floyd, yeah right. Or wait, you think he can KO him. Even though Floyd's never even been down in his career and he's fought much harder punchers than Thurman too lol.

Holding belts in 3 different wieght divisions at once? What's so epic about that. It just reemphasises how stupid and pathetic these belt organisation have become
Beating a guy who's best win, is a guy Floyd shut out is an improvement on his legacy? Being the MW champ is 100x's better than beating Thurman or Khan, you thinking otherwise is just sad.

I thought if Floyd won he would find a way to make a deal for a Cotto fight.
Seeing Jay-Z and Beyoncé at the fight suggests he isn't so pissed off at Haymon.
I wonder if Roc Nation and MP can make a deal, that his last fight is at MSG. I think Floyd fighting outside on Vegas might be a good thing.
He convincingly beat both Karras and Guerrero plus Guerrero is an improvement from Karras.
If Mayweather didn't walk into anything you would be right but being a great defensive fighter doesn't mean he don't walk into anything.
Thurman's speed is overlooked, i would expect Mayweather to win but i think Thurman would seriously hurt if not drop him at some point... better than a recycled fight against someone he already beat decisively. A Cotto rematch adds very little to his legacy.

I was one of the few who wanted to see Cotto fight Floyd first time round, even after the beatings he had taken, would still give Floyd a good fight and thought it was closer than the cards suggested, but no.....i am only interesting in him seeing fight Khan next.
Guerrero isn't an improvement. Soto and Guerrero walk right into punches and Thurman still did not have an easy time. How is going to do against a guy who doesn't walk into anything? Just stop, he has no shot.

We wouldn't even be talking about Floyd moving up if GGG was the lineal champion. The sad part is that Floyd/Cotto 2 is probably one of the better options.
Lol yeah conviniently ignore his two best wins to degrade his resume.

Why not fight Andy Lee for the WBO title? That currently has the same worth as the lineal one ...
Cotto is focused on losing to Canelo after the Geale fight. No point in a rematch with Floyd he already lost decisively.
Plus hes vacating his belts so he wouldn't be simultaneously holding 3 lineal titles. Either fight Golovkin or there's no point moving above 154.
Sure, why not. Thurman has earned a shot at Floyd by fighting the Soto Karass and Leonard Bundu's of the world.

You wouldn't believe how many people think that's the resume to beat Floyd lol.
No more washed up, past prime cherry picks please.
His finale should be against a hungry young lion like Thurman.
