Serious question.
I know a couple of years ago plenty of people, myself included thought he was an exciting fighter on the rise but since then his career has really been a joke when you look at his opponents. I haven't seen anybody say anything positive about him for so long now.
I'd love to watch Carl Frampton beat the sh1t out of him.
Fight a real fighter for once Leo and see what happens.
Agreed. If Frampton - Quigg doesn't happen, which it seems likely, that would be a fight I would very gladly watch.
3 bums in a row gets you crucified in today's boxing social media generation. We live in a time where promoters could never get away with the Peter Mcneeleys with build up records and fighters are pressured by fans to quit bullshiting.
1 tune up fight is OK but if social media was around back in the day we wouldn't have to deal with Trinidad and Roy Jones wasting prime years feasting on garbage men and school teachers.
The pressure is on LSC to quit agreeing to these nobodies and fighting some of the better names on the list that Haymon lets him pick from.
awful thing is, more people probs seen that fight with part-timer cayatano than almost every other fight for the last decade, at least the last few rounds anyway.
Haymon has ruined Santa Cruz's career and Leo went with it for short term financial gain. Leo was a great pressure fighter with excitement and Golden Boy was doing a great job with his career moving him up at the right pace. Leo would of eventually made big bucks and the difference is he would of also had the respect of the boxing world too as opposed to now, no one respects him.
I'm having from a thread with this guy. They only reason I haven't jumped ship is cuz he's from michoacan and we don't have a lot fighters coming up
I too felt that way for a while, I hail from Morelia myself, but there's a limit. Guy was literally arguing that his opponents are tough because they have "nothing to lose", he is a ****ing embarrassment.
I thought he was gonna be a big thing, Mini-Margarito.
Dude literally fights part-time boxers and sparring partners in title defenses.
Mini Margarito was the first thing that came to mind too when I first saw him. Now I can't stand that lil turd!!! Haymon has his bank account looking right but he's literally killed the dudes career.
Serious question.

The people at my house don't really watch boxing all that much but they all started laughing at LSC. Especially when Lampley announced that the guy was a construction worker, everyone was like man why is this guy in the ring?
Used to be one of my favorites. Put the Spurs vs Clippers on while his fight was going on. I enjoyed that Lampley tore the opponent apart every chance he got
