If tyson holyfield 2 happened why cant may-pac 2 happen??

I rather see Lucas Matthysse, Keith Thurman or Amir Khan get a chance at Mayweather before a Pacquiao rematch, hell I much rather see Mayweather fight Cotto again than Manny.

The reason Tyson and Holyfield rematched was the first fight was a good action heavyweight fight (that will always sell). Also it was Tyson and Holyfield, those 2 could sell out an arena now, those guys are true warriors, not scared (no risk taking) boxers waiting for the scorecards to decide the match. Instead of Tyson Holyfield comparison (which is apple to oranges), think about why there wasn't a Tyson Lewis 2? That would have a better chance of happening, I don't really care if I see Floyd or Manny fight again after the turd they left in the boxing punch bowl.

Sometimes it's easier to market a rematch for a fight that ends in a knockout because there's real cause for revenge as well as people seeing some drama, thats why we would all would have watched Marquez v Pacquaio 5 if it had happened. When the skill level is simply and cleary too far apart like it was between Mayweather and Pacquiao, what's the point? Mayweather would just outbox him the same or worse. From a boxing perspective, it makes about as much sense as making a Pacquiao v Rios rematch.

Lets be real,holyfield beat tyson worst then may beat pac man....and they had a rematch....if they spin this right and pacs shoulder was really injured then it could happen. Usually to have a rematch you need the first fight to be one or more of 3 things. 1. An upset. 2. Controversial. 3. A great fight. Tyson Holyfield was a huge upset and a great fight. In this case it doesnt meet any of the criteria but if it's done $450mil in ppv then a rematch is always a possibility.

Because has no chance to win. Boxing is a game of distance. Floyd is bigger, longer has peefect timing and a master of controlling distance. Pac has no jab, cant cut the ring and no sense of range. Floyd will keep the jab in his face and Pac can do nothing. How's he going to close range? What can he do differently? Its not as easy as "throw more punches doe". Floyd knew what he was going to do before Pac made the move. What's Pac gonna do if he doesn't KO him? Think with your head not your heart.

Fight was not competitive enough , Floyd will only shut Manny down again and with that in peoples minds the concept of anything different will be hard to sell . And whats the pay going to be , no way it generates 1/20th what this did , and will Manny accept peanuts because that is all he is worth now in a Floyd fight . Nope the fight is dead and buried now .

It's as simple as Mayweather being fast enough to control distance and Pacquiao not possessing a jab, it's that simple. Two, people were not happy with Pacquiao's performance, just no, no.

Same reason why Ali rematched Sonny Liston. Their first fight holyfield and Ali were huge underdogs, and they won. So a rematch was more appropriate. Its like if some up and comer came and beat floyd easily, a rematch would make sense. But Manny was the underdog and lost, in a boring fight, so a rematch hopefully wont happen.

The reason it shouldn't happen is because of the behaviour in this thread. For years, Mayweather was vilified for ducking Pacquiao, labelled as a chicken and as a coward. He was not believed about wanting to make the fight happen; when the fight was signed for, people questioned when he'd find an excuse to back down. People predicted his downfall and observed fear in his eyes. He went stepped into the ring, with the above on his shoulders, and picked Pacquiao apart. Instead of praising him, people are looking for reasons to tear down his accomplishment and push for a rematch. What reason does he have to face Pacquiao again when history as proven it will never be enough.
