looking at some of the ire that Kellerman is getting from many people over his ring interview with manny after the fight , I think he was extremely rude and disrespectful to manny who the **** is he to rub it in about how he felt, its not about him its about the fighters that guys ego got in the way he needed to not try to showcase himself.
There are a lot of idolaters on this board. People who seriously worship Manny. Maybe over in his country questioning him is a crime against humanity but here in the real world it's ok to be incredulous when someone says something stupid (ie. I won the fight).
Is not that the reason Floyd left HBO for Showtime, it is just that it was Larry Merchant asking the hard questions or in other words the TRUTH. I recall when Merchant asked Floyd a tough question he threw a fit and threatened to beat up an 80yr old man. As I recall this is when Floyd sucker punched Ortiz. Now how could Merchant avoid asking him about that?
why are you talking about larry merchant and Floyd in a Kellerman/pacquiao thread?
stop deflecting from pacquiao.
Kellerman didn't ask pacquiao a hard queation. Kellerman just let the man know nobody thought he won the fight
International opinion is what counts as truth.
Pacquiao was reasonable at the time to assume he won, he hardly took any damage at all either and probably figured a lot of his ropeside flurries would be counted a lot.
Kellerman trashed him without grounds.
Totally disrespectful and disgusting. Kellerman is basically responsible for the decline of HBO in entirety.
They should have dragged out Merchant for this fight :lol1:
pacquiao knows he didn't win and everybody watching it including his hbo family knows he didn't win.
pac threw less punches than he has ever throwed in a title fight. landed less punches than he has ever landed in a title fight. but he felt he won.
max was just calling pac on his bull**** and making sure that pacquiao knew that hbo agreed with the scorecards
They destroyed Bradley when he said he won....and dat dude actually landed punches and won rounds....and fcked his ankle up
MAnny didnt do nothing....and brings up arm injury with no evidence
AND JIM GRey woulda destroyed MAnny....so yall shud be lucky
people just mad cuz its MAnny....if it was anybody else nobody wuda said nothing....And thats the exact problem with Pac-Fans ...try to give dis ngga a pass for everything but point out everything Floyd and other fighters do......MAnny brought this BS on himself
From losing the fight, ( Floyd ran and clinched doe)
From making excuses after da fight ( MAx was rude doe)
Max handled that well imo..Jim Grey would've went in on Pac harder than Max did...so Pac and his squad should be glad they got hit with jabs by Max instead power shots from Jim...Jim Grey is the best ever!!
#Pacquiao fans: I told Tim Bradley that Manny won after their 1st fight & you guys were fine with that. But this time it***39;s a problem huh?— Max Kellerman (@Max_Kellerman) May 3, 2015
That's cause Bradley had twisted his ankle .
So it was all good.
.

Of course they had no issue at the time.
I understand why you feel that way as most people tend to believe that manny is above a mere mortal looking him square in the eye and telling him like it is ... Or in other words the TRUTH. but trust me he was doing Manny a favor by letting him know that no one was going to go along with the whole "I thought I won" thing not even his buddies at HBO it gave him an opportunity to cling to the next excuse (albeit with one arm", the now infamous Kobe Bryant shoulder excuse... The guy is a joke.

Max Kellerman, that pseudo intellectual. he is not a journalist,he is not a boxing writer, he isnot a boxing historian, he is not a trainer or former boxer. He is just a guy with a big mouth that never shuts up. A perfect example is when HBO did that show talking with Foreman, Lewis, and Hopkins about the May vs Pac fight. Lampley asked a question about the fights significance and Lampley answered it with half a dozen words which was perfect for the question asked. When Max was asked the same question he droned on and on talked and talked as if he was so impressed with himself. Hell, no one in boxing respects him no fighters and no trainers. He is just a big blowhard, he is the Cliff Clavin of the boxing world.
I recall when he was hired everyone was in uproar, no one could stand him. And it came out the only reason he was hired because HBO thought he would bring in a younger audience. All he ever did was a few annoying talk shows on ESPN.
Yeah well it's looking like what is at the moment an "excuse" will shortly become a "truth".What are you saying? Max likes Manny Pacquiao. He is a fan of his. Also, Pac is an HBO fighter; The company that Max Kellerman works for. So I see no reason why Kellerman would want to put a hatchet job into his employer's biggest star. Not only is it bad for the HBO brand but it also makes very little business sense to undermine the credibility of their biggest cash cow.
yeah check out opinion on the net theres condemnation world wide from all corners from actors ,athletes , everyday people that felt it was disrepectfull , you guys seem to think it was good huh ? must be an American thing I guess.
Could you provide us with a link? Just one would suffice.
Max was just disappointed in Manny's performance that's all. It wasn't personal. He just expected Manny Pacquiao to do a lot more in his contest with Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
Yeah well it's looking like what is at the moment an "excuse" will shortly become a "truth".
like I said must be an American thing most other countries would treat the man with a little more class.
The only people lacking class in this whole affair is Manny's camp.
Admit defeat with some grace. There's no shame in losing to Mayweather in a boxing match.
