Isn't the real story of the fight that...

...it should have happened 5 years ago? I mean, did Pacquiao look anywhere close near the fighter he was 5 years ago? First of all, Mayweather won this fight pretty clearly, so congrats to him for that. That being said, I remember one round in which Pacquiao looked really good, maybe it was round 4 and he clearly won the round, he looked fluid, energetic, landed combos etc. And suddenly he completely took off the next round as if he had to save his energy to go 12 rounds. I mean, 5 years ago he was a 12 round whirlwind. And I do know Mayweather is past his prime also even though he looked very good last night. But overall I got a small feeling that 5 years ago, we would have seen a different version of Pacquiao. NOT SAYING Mayweather wouldn't have won 5 years ago also.

I think Manny would've been a lot better in 2010 but that in turn would have brought more out of Floyd. I don't know that the outcome would've been different, but it would have been a better fight.

Manny looked like a fake because he got shut down . Floyd was Floyd and Manny could do nothing same as any time these would have met you get the same result Manny not being able to do anything .

From last night it seemed that Mayweather was to strong for him ,no other larger fighter ever tried rough Pacquiao up and put their weight on him. Mayweather literally Klitschkoed Pacquiao a couple of times which had to have made him second guess darting end.He also on several ocassions pushed or leaned in to bump Pacquiao in order to create space off of the ropes.

I think Pacquiao might have thrown more punches, but missed just as much, and probably would get hit even more in return. Floyd would have stopped him or won an easy decision. His skill set just isn't something that I see Manny succeeding against, regardless of what point in their respective careers that they fought.

there was nothing wrong with him physically, mayweather just didn't let him fight. it's a failure of his ring intelligence and coaching that he couldn't impose his will on floyd. the mayweather who beat marquez would have utterly destroyed pacquiao; you should be grateful that the fight only came now when mayweather is past his best
