Who wins Between a Prime Oscar De La Hoya vs Regular Welterweight Manny Pacquiao

Id give it to Pac at 135/140, 147 would be a toss-up IMO. Roach just has the perfect counter for DLH with that gameplan/Pac. No strong right (Pac's biggest weakness) and WW Pac is actually very good at taking away people's jabs. Not to mention what everyone else has, that DLH would eat lead-lefts all night. i agree, Pac could neutralize jabs by his right hooks Pac would beat any version of DLH

I think the De La Hoya that fought Trinidad would beat a welterweight pacquiao. Straight right is the most effective punch against Pacquiao, but De La Hoya has other punches he could beat Manny with. The DeLaHoya that foughtbTrinidad beats Floyd and Manny. That Oscar was prime and had one of the best quickest hardest jabs ever, not to mention his movement and let hook. Oscar was a part time fight by the time he fought both, he was looking to life after boxing and was past his best.

Its difficult I think Prime ODLH beats Pac and probably a late 20's Floyd or losing in a very close fight, the Floyd that fought Mosley beats a Prime ODLH IMO

No version of Oscar beats Mayweather. Prime Oscar definitely makes it more interesting than the 2007 fight.

Many kicked Oscars ass, plain and simple. But Oscar was old, washed up, and ready to just hang the gloves up. But what about a Prime Oscar. How would Prime Oscar do against Manny Pacquiao. De La Hoya still fought squared up and flat-footed when he was prime, granted his reflexes were better That's a recipe for disaster vs an ambush style as fast as pacquiao

Hard to say when Oscar gave such a crap performance against Pac. Then again, De La Hoya likes to stand pretty square so he'll always give a presentable target to Pacquiao. Pacquiao will win a competitive fight, Oscar never had either a straight lead right habd nor a counter right hand, his best punches are the jab and the left hook, if you don't have a good right hand you won't be able to do much damage against Pacquiao, but still it'll be a very competitive fight, Maybe Oscar can outhustle him and use his size advantage like Morales did and Oscar is faster and stronger than Morales.
