There's so much evidence proliferating on the internet of Malignaggi defaming Pacquiao. This suit would be straightforward. His accusations are worst than the Mayweather's and we know he won a large settlement there.
If he cares about his legacy he needs to put a stop to Maliganaggi's constant defamation.
So accusing someone of paying the ref. a bribe is not accusing someone of doing something illegal? corruption accusations? accusing Floyd for paying USADA? Failed drug test accusations? All these were accusations and they were never backed up by any evidence, now should Mayweather sue whoever said these things? Absolutely not, there will always be doubters and haters, this is how boxing is, KID!
I don't think any public figure were making any of those things you are saying. The problem with Paulie, he is a public figure, commentator who has a large following. There are people out there who are fans of his and who takes everything he says as gospel.
I have to admit he is good at analysing and commentating and a lot of other people thinks so too. So as a public figure he can't be defaming without proof, he should know better.
Its clear that you don't know what your talking about.
Serious accusations to doing something illegal in his sport is different from trash talking.
read a book kid. Don't be like Mayweather.

Back in the day boxers could trash talk other boxers without getting sued! I don't like to say this but suing a fighter cuz he called you something is the gayest thing in the world! Pacquiao should either dismiss him, reply, fight him, or back in the day he should've taken the test (in 2009 when he refused to take the test, which is why a lot of people were and still are suspicious of Manny Pacquiao), this would've erased any doubts in people's minds, instead Pacquiao preferred to say that he's scared of needles, which is one of the lamest excuses I've ever heard in boxing!
Ali called almost all his opponents something, did they sue him? has he ever sued anybody for calling him anything? I've never heard of fighter sue another fighter for calling him something, yea he's a popular fighter, but dang it such exception shouldn't be made for him.

Didn't exactly work for Shawn Porter, he beat Paulie stupid and look at the things Paulie says about it, same inferences. I used to like Paulie, still do to an extent and think he's a great commentator, but he's a bitterly sore loser.
So all these fighters, trainers and fans that talk **** about Floyd should be sued too, a lot of people said Floyd paid Bayless in the Maidana fight to allow him to clinch more often, some people say that Floyd allegdly failed drug tests, some people say that USADA are testing Manny but not Floyd, some say that the NSAC is in Floyd's pocket and the list goes on and on. These are also accusations that can ruin the reputation and the legacy of a fighter, and Floyd ignored all of them, Manny had the chance to shut everybody up and take the test and he didn't and this tarnishes his legacy and reputation in my eyes.
No problem accusing someone if you have facts to back it up in a court of law. You have to be smart enough to know that if you defame someone because you are saying things to tarnish someone's reputation deliberately that you can get sued.
Usually the bigger the reputation you're tarnishing the bigger the penalty.
But we're not talking about calling someone a "sissy" or a "coward", we're talking about accusing someone of gaining competitive advantage, without any proof to back it up. Fighters get banned and suspended for taking PED's, they're legacies get shamed, they lose sponsorship deals etc. When you have someone accuse you of that, without any proof, it's a pretty serious deal. I'm glad Pacquiao sued Mayweather for that, I hope any fighter in his situation does the same thing.

When Manny sees Paulie commentating on Showtime he probably thinks to himself, "why is the guy from the Sopranos calling this fight right now?"
don't insult the sopranos man, come on...
I think he should just fight him. It's a win-win. Paulie gets his biggest payday and Manny gets to utterly embarrass that f@g in the ring.
lady boy paulie doesnt deserve a manny pay day.

F it... Sue em. Its not like Pac will have to actually do anything. Make suit... Lawyers go on auto-pilot. Collect check in a matter of months... Simple.
In this day n age, everybody is looking to financially destroy you. Its free $$$. Act accordingly and smart.
Dont wanna get sued? Keep your mouth shut, keep your hands off other people, DONT CRASH INTO ANYBODY (number 1 lawsuit in america with 1000000% win rate), etc

Paulie's lawyers have certainly helped him with the phrasing of some of his comments. He never explicitly said that Pacquiao was on steroids or juicing. He might have said that in the past and it was settled, but to my knowledge he's been calling Pacquiao a 'cheater'. Keep in mind that could mean anything.
I think that's pretty cheap of him to do that. But Paulie is not someone with a lot of integrity.
The funny thing about this whole situation,is that Malinaggi now works with Memo Heredia.
And funnier on top of that is that Paulie sees nothing wrong with that. He doesn't seem to clue in on the hypocrisy of it all.
That's why I kind of question his education level. It's like the basics, 1+1=2 stuff, and he doesn't get it.
