Unless Wlad declines even further from now to the date of the Fury fight, I just don't see how Fury can win. He is too hittable, does not have great power, and a lot of attributes which people attach to him like unpredictability, switching stances, all that - it only works against slow, undersized bums with little to no workrate or skill as Fury has been fighting.
Unless Fury can get inside and smother and try to overwhelm Wlad on the inside, I don't see how he can knock him out and avoid getting clipped at some point - he is just too much of a big target for Wlad to not get through with a big one at some point. And after almost 70 fights of Wlad not even being close to losing a decision, I don't think that will change here.
Wilder is more of a threat as he has spent extensive time sparring with Wlad and is harder to hit than Fury, and also faster, more athletic and much more powerful.
The thing is Klitschko in his prime would have KO'd Jennings, but now the fight went 12 rounds. I can only remember one flush right hand landing from Klitschko, which was in the last round.
There were some rounds where he only landed some jabs but everything else hit Jennings' gloves.
Had that fight been in Germany I expect he would have won by KO, the referee I believe made him apprehensive and he burnt a lot more energy than usual due to the repeated warnings. He looked concerned by the repeated warnings, which I felt were a little unfair as Jennings was bulling him and leading in with the head.
Don't be fooled, Wlad is still in his prime.
Rofl @ Wlad has one fight whereby a smaller more mobile Jennings made it difficult tfor Wlad to hit the target clean with the righg and all of a sudden Fury/Wlad is a 50/50 fight.
Only on NSB lol.
Jennings made it difficult for Wlad for 36 minutes, let me remind you Jennings won only two rounds only one of those being clearly, the one round Wlad was deducted Jennings still did not even bank a ten point round !
You guys are hilarious, I swear you see only what you want to see. In which world is Fury a better mover than Wlad, more power and or more skilled ? Please tell me, show me what I am missing, I'm begging you.
In the ever evolving world of NSB Wlad was ducking Fury up until yesterday, now he is not and Wlad just simply is not good enough to beat him, I like this eb changing concept of ideas of notions, it is humouring.

If Jennings mobility made it difficult for Wlad, why do you think Fury - 6 inches taller, 2 inches longer, 35 lbs heavier and just as mobile - is going to be easy?
Take another look at Fury dancing rings around Chisora. Something Malik Scott, for all his deficiencies, still the most mobile heavyweight out there, was unable to do.

You're gonna act like Wlad hasn't struggled against other mediocre opponents and not looked impressive?
yeah, let's pretend chisora wasn't shot :lol1:
You didn't think he was shot because you picked Chisora to knock him out.
Chisora was on a 5 streak win before he faced Fury, including a win over Malik Scott & becoming the first man to knock down Kevin Johnson.
i know that and i ate my crow.
It must have tasted good. You seem very keen to get yourself another helping.
You're not serious? Fury is an unskilled oaf whilst Wlad is an Olympic gold medalist. Fury couldn't even land on Steve Cunningham without wedging him against the ropes with his giant forearm like a caveman!
Let's not forget this either!

Fury is wild and the only chance he has against Wlad is by landing a huge shot on him, but he has zero chance of putting on a clinic and outpointing him.
Hughie Fury is far more skilled fundamentally that Tyson.
Tyson has shown of late that he can box to order. He's a much better technician than Wlad as he can be effective at long, mid and short range. The fact that he can fight southpaw or orthodox also makes him a nightmare for Wlad. Tyson takes this.

Fury has actually got more all round boxing skills to call on than Wlad has

Fury is not a real threat. His movement is idiotic, his chin is shaky, his defense is whack and he hasn't got a stunning power also. He will lose by KO mid rounds. Only real threats to Wlad are Wilder and Joshua now.
It's a 50/50 fight to me, Fury has actually got more all round boxing skills to call on than Wlad has but Wlad has mastered his style so if Fury can't break him out of his rhythm he could lull Fury into his game plan, sort of like he did to Jennings in the last few round.
But the fact that Fury is taller than Wlad shakes things up again so its a 50/50 fight to me.
What do you think after his performance tonight against Bryant Jennings?
I'm convinced Fury has what it takes to beat the much older man, may be hurt him and then outpoint him. It might be close but Fury is bigger, heavier and throws more punches.
Fury is a big goof, he'd be embarrassed within six.
Based on what little I've seen of Fury and the lots I've seen of Wlad and considering this would happen on you guy's side of the pond with the refs that Wlad is used to working with, I agree with El white.
However, I have an open mind. Throw up a link to a fight that you look at and think "damn, Tyson could actually beat Wlad".
Educate me.
Or?
Fanboys are trying to make the excuse that he's too old now. The truth is this was the same old Wlad that we've seen for years. The difference was he wasn't in Germany with his paid off K2 refs letting him jump all over him opponents backs. The ref tonight forced Wlad to box and his lack of skills were exposed. Keep on putting immobile fighters in front of him like Leapai,Wach Mormeck,Pianta, Pulev etc and that jab and right hand will look like a million bucks. Put even a somewhat skilled fighter with some mobility in with him and suddenly his jab is gone and he can't land a right to save his life. It was the same with Haye I've said it before he can't deal with basic movement. Fury is going to stick and move whenever he wants, bang him around inside whenever he wants and Wlad won't be able to do a damn thing about it.
i know that and i ate my crow.
if you wanna make a bet, pm me.
I'll be betting real cash on Fury should the fight get made. I expect Wlad will be the heavy favourite with the bookies.
Easy money.
