People are brave thru social media because they are anonymous. On top of that Floyd plays the whole Hip Hop thing to max and get into ppl faces with it so it is going to do a reaction.
It doesn't matter because the character that he has sold has made him millions. He did it all for a reaction he is getting it but is getting rich in the process
racism dont exist.
tell me that last time floyd had a cross burnt on his lawn?
That's an incredibly stupid comment. Just because the racism that Ali faced was more overt, acceptable and institutionalized does not mean that Floyd does not face any at all. To say that "racism dont exist" must be a troll, because the amount you see on this forum alone is shocking.
Shut up Floyd the 60's had far more racism. Ali had to go through the White only drinking fountains and being drafted by an unnecessary war crated by Old White dudes
Lol... I wouldn't brag about that...Unless you find pride in these two individuals...
So those 2 are "sell outs" while a guy like Floyd Mayweather is a role model in the black community. Maybe that's an issue right there.
A couple of coward trolls on Twitter and YouTube dropping N bombs and making monkey references from their mothers basement is not the same as having "whites only" bathrooms and restaurants and being hosed down in a silent protest.
If Twitter and YouTube existed back in those days I could only imagine what reading comments on boxing forums and YouTube pages would look like.
I find it ironic that so many of the closeted bigots, racists and prejudiced clowns are posting in this thread like they know ANYTHING about what African American men go through on an everyday basis. With that being said, what I or Floyd go through is NOTHING like the segregated south of the 1950s, which is what Ali grew up in. His level of hate and racism is sort of like comparing Broner and Floyd. Totally different levels. Ignorant statement from Floyd.
Ali had to deal with so much more than just racism so I don't think you can really compare the eras Ali and Floyd exist. They both face a lot of racism but its very different.
Ali dealt with racism, religious persecution, and persecution for his refusal to go to war. His brashness caused a backlash but it wasn't the primary reason he was hated. It was much more overt.
Floyd deals with racism on Social media in the same way ALi dealt with it in his face, but he faces no political or religious backlash. He is hated primarily because of his embracing a particular caricature and his brashness.
Man I'm not what you call a "pactard" and I don't hate Floyd even though he annoys me a lot, but damn he makes it really difficult to like him! He's talking non-sense. Plus just a few months ago he was like: "I don't care if Clippers owner is racist, he's been good to me" and he acted the same with Beiber... he never bothered to adress or none less fight the racism as long as it doesn't stop him from making money.
Here's your homework:

racists are losers in real life and just knowing that is enough fuel for me to not gravitate towards losing my ish and getting physical or replying back with more racism. a racists worst fear is being exposed as a racist so like i said thats why they confine it to the internet only. and if they do happen to be racist in real life thats when you check them real quick. i remember when i was banging this cute white chick, her brother and some friends of his tried to convince her to leave me cause i was black. it just made me go even harder and bang her guts out every night while her brother had to sit in the next room over and listen to her moans. it kills them inside. u gotta get tactical with that ish.
Cmon bro, it's the Internet... Pics or it didn't happen!
I wish I could say I was surprised at the people agreeing with Mayweather now that I glanced at a few other pages. I really hope Mayweather pays these people for all the work they put in.
Unlike the other on topic thread here, this one is certainly not true.
Ali was a racist extremist but he himself was also persecuted obviously.
Floyd has encountered no such racism at all! In fact although he himself has never to my knowledge inclined anything racist, he has spawned the most racist sect of the boxing world and puts his head in the sand about it.
Admittedly he doesn't have a choice about that because these guys constitute his only fans.
this is what i don't get about floyd and some of his fans.
It being an act or not, floyd chose to behave like a douche in public. I believed he said something like "Doesn't matter if they pay me to lose. As long as they pay" or something along those lines.
However, he and his fans complain about his "haters".
If he's going to be an arse, then at least own up to it.
He's in the twilight of his career... He's made his bed and he's afraid to sleep on it, especially knowing that he's about to lose that 0.
Typical victim mentality, blame it on racism!
At the end of the day, it's still racism. And wrong all the same. It shouldn't be happening. Full stop.
People arguing over the degree of racism between the two fighters just doesn't make sense. Racism is wrong. End of.
