Keith could be fighting Porter next. That's a great, evenly matched fight.
I always say to never judge a fighter by what he does well. Alot of these upcoming prospects always look fast, strong or powerful when facing bums. Look at how they react when they face adversity. A cut, getting caught with a good shot, or maybe losing some early rounds. If they adjust, show the will to win, and pull out a victory THAT'S when they are legitimized. Thurman has done that and more.
Good post.

The thing with Thurman is that his best wins are Chaves and Guerrero who are both good, but not great fighters. With this being the case I'll reserve judgement on him until I see him in the ring with any of Brook, Khan, May, Pac, Maidana or Porter.
Thurman is the REAL DEAL!
Proof? Nobody At Welterweight Wants To Fight Him! Only person that called him out was Lara who is a Weight Class Above his but the rest of the Welterweights are afraid to even speak his name. They tell the media "I Would Fight Thurman" just so they won't look bad.
something tells me he not gonna be able to make 147 anymore.
I agree he's a big guy I'm surprised his chin isn't that good because he gets hurt by smaller guys I think Chaves hurt him. He's a natural welterweight like Margarito, when he gets older he'll be moving up
not from the recent images videos hes face even looks chubby.
Nope. Keith is definitely a welterweight. I fought as a light welter in the amateurs, I'm a few inches taller than him at 5'11" and his frame isn't that much larger than me.
He definitely stays in shape.

Yeah I don't think he stays in shape inbetween fights and I don't like that, but he usually weighs in at least a pound below the 147 limit and is 153-157 on fight night (I think he put on a few extra pounds for the Guerrero fight because he planned to move less and stand his ground more).
Legit but not elite.
Mayweather would handle him; so would Pacquaio.
Those are match-ups I'd love to see. But we know Floyd is wrapping his contract in September, probably his last fight -- and it could easily be a rematch with Pacquaio if that fight proves to be a close one.
Legit in my book.
I have been in the room when he hits people...you hear it everywhere in the place. His boxing skills are on point and he can self promote. As legit as legit gets.
