With Cotto& Canelo booked, GGG again with no opponent

I don't know what Andrade is up to, but I read a story a few weeks ago saying he wanted to fight GGG. That works for me. He said he'd consider it after the Charlos and Alvarez, and only if it was PPV.

That would be the biggest joke in boxing. If Cotto gets stripped, GGG will not need to fight anyone for the title. As he is the interim champion, he will be automatically promoted. WBC been trying to get better... but it's the WBC. Them doing that wouldn't surprise me at all.

That's exactly what they did to Sergio Martinez when he fought Dzinziruk instead of Zbik. The WBC won't miss out on collecting their 3% sanctioning fee on Cotto/Alvarez, especially giving that Alvarez is their favorite son. Then Alvarez/Cotto will have atleast one rematch, after which Alvarez will defend that title 2-3 times vs MW's not named Golovkin before finally facing him. This scenario assumes Canelo wins, which is not happening.

Cotto and Canelo agreed to fight in the fall, meaning in all likelihood they are done for the year. Looks like another year gone by where Golovkin won't get a name fighter in the ring GGGs team is pretty **** at trying to negotiate anything and HBO are building him to be fed to ward in 2016.

you are probably right. in which case the only hope of keeping the middleweight lineage intact is if either Geale or Canelo beat Cotto. We all know that Cotto breaks out in hives just looking at GGGs photo, so nobody believes he will ever fight GGG. I believe Geale or Canelo would though, which would preserve the middleweight lineage

does this mean cotta will have to hand GGG his belt before he fights canelo? If GGG's team can then land an Andy lee fight he'd pretty much have all the meaningful titles then If the WBC are true to their word, Cotto will have to either relinquish his title or lose to Geale if he wants to fight Canelo this fall.

Ease up, Cotto now fights Geale after that he either fights Golovkin for the WBC belt or he gives it up and move to catchweight to fight Canelo (he will do the latter) Golovkin will fight for the WBC belt by the fall.

agree with you. I bet Pacquaio would fight him, but it would be at like 152 or 153. That would be huge in Macao. He would beat Pac , but Pac would hit him alot. Mayweather fight would be huge in Vegas. However Floyd doesn't like to get hit. GGG would win by stoppage or Big unanaimous decision. Wouldn't mind seeing him fight Lara, Andrade, and Kirkland. 3 different styles and 3 times he would have to adjust.

True but the cast of "duckers" themselves, are not truly legit tests at MW. GGG is in a tough spot. Nobody left really but Ward at 168lbs.
