I want Puerto Ricans to see Mexicans in a positive light like when we bought the awesome New Yorican's free style music in the 80's and J Lo's, Ricky Martin and Mark Anthony's music in the 90's. PR's are important to Mexicans whether they realize it or not and vice versa and Mexicans would benefit to learn anything from Boricua culture. Furthermore, we are a political sleeping giant who's only going to get bigger and bigger so that's another way we can be viewed positively. I'm not religious and I can't recall the last time I picked up a Bible, but I took to heart the lessons I learned from the Bible. The Bible has been my only teacher in life since I'm uneducated and from the barrio and my dad died when I was 10 yrs old.... just wanted to throw that in because I know Mexicans can benefit from the wisdom of the Bible. That's probably the biggest fight in the sport not involving Mayweather or Pacquiao. I think it will be a damn good fight, too.

Cotto started his career at 140, did he stay and continue to fight the bum of the month club like GGG no he went up to 147 and fought guys who were bigger than him and made his mark there. Cotto turned pro at a young age, which allowed him to switch division as he grew. GGG didn't have this option. Cotto didn't go to 147 by choice, he just outgrew 140. Stop lying!!!

I hope I'm wrong but I don't think Cotto will ever fight Canelo. Canelo has tried for well over a year to get a fight with Cotto only to have Cotto say no. Time will tell but Canelo has lots of other good fights he can make besides Cotto.

This fight would be good for boxing because it will shut up 1 diva and his fanatical fan base for a while.

He wasn't scared, he just didn't want to get his career ended by Canelo or GGG if he didn't have to. He probably would have been content to end his career with a trilogy against Delvin Rodriguez but neither HBO or Showtime would broadcast his fights if that was the case. Exactly. He more than likely was in talks with roc nation for a while. Now that he got a huge guarantee he doesn't care if he loses, but if he had agreed to fight canelo before making that deal, his career would be over if he lost. So he just delayed the inevitable beating to get his money right.
