Last I checked it's been nearly a year. Cotto's not defended it once since beating martinez. Pretty sure that warrants a stripping of the title if he doesn't defend it. After the quillin-lee fight I'm just wondering who will fight cotto for the wbc goodboy division belt.

They wont strip him. Cotto could fight Canelo in the Fall and they want in on that. If GGG didn't take a step aside fee, they'll upgrade him to champion emeritus and have GGG fight for the regular title. Yay WBC

A year is way too long for an uninjured champion to go without defending his title. If Cotto refuses to fight GGG but will fight a guy GGG easily knocked out what does that say about who is the real champion. Will Cotto fight a top 10 world rated middleweight at the standard weight limit of 160 pounds? Please Cotto, quit stalling and tell the world what tough guy you will be fighting in June and at what weight limit.

I think 90 % of good middleweights beat Cotto unless they're coming off a long layoff , got a bad eye injury , or a bum knee .
