Two decent Welterweights, both don't have any power of mention really. I think their power is pretty equal if anything, but I can see people giving Guerrero the edge just because he displays his power more often.
Could Algieri box his way around Guerrero or does The Ghost force Algieri to stand ground to fight Guerrero off him? We saw Guerrero box a bit more in the later rounds so the fight could be completely different if Guerrero sticks to a boxing plan for all 12.
Not sure if this fight would be fireworks but it'd be a good technical matchup to see where each other is at.
Robert was never a fast fighter but having said that he seems to be slowing down even more. He looked flat footed and slow against Thurman. I think Algerie's speed will frustrate Robert and it will be a decision win for Chris Algerie
RG needs to either cut weight and move back down to jnr welter (or even lightweight) or retire. He will be a steppingstone at welterweight.
I don't think Guerrero has enough power at welterweight and is too slow to beat Algieri. If points were given for heart alone, Guerrero would be undefeated but now days he is too easily outboxed.
Guerrero has been outboxed by Floyd Mayweather and Keith Thurman, let's not go saying he's easy to outbox because he lost to those two.
Nah he doesn't have the foot speed to make it a dog fight. Guerrero is comically slow footed. He moves like a 7 foot lithuanian center in the nba.
so is algeiri hes actually very slow footed which people seem to forget for some reason i guess cause he boxes decent
I really don't care to see Chris Algieri again.
Robert Guerrero, he can still be matched up with certain fighters and produce exciting bouts if nothing else.

Ever since that Berto fight he's really been content to try and just wail on guys. Maybe Mayweather just took his boxing soul and all he knows now is to be a guerrero in the ring.

Chris Algieri will keep it at a distance. Guerrero would not be able to get in and use his inside game. Not to mention Robert doesn't have serious power to hurt Chris either. So, I see it like the Provo bout, only more comfortable given Guerrero's lack of serious pop to hurt/drop Algieri.
Pretty good fight, nice contrast of styles.. I don't think algieri will be able to keep ghost off, and Robert will maul his way to a decision in a competitive fight
Algeri is not a WW and needs to stay at 140lb.
Then why did it take him two tries to weigh in at 144? He was overweight the first chance they gave him.
Guerrero makes it a Dog fights by slaughtering alegeri for 12 rd with a couple of kos

Chris Algieri outboxes him, as much as I hate to say it. Guerrero sucks big time at welterweight. The fact that Alfonso fackin' Gomez (the guy who was kd by a jab by cotto)looked better against Kamegai than guerrero did is hilarious.
