Manny Pacquaio is one of my favorite active fighters but his general fan base lose sight on a lot of things. He was marketed great, he fought a lot of guys above 135 when they had their worst chance to compete or defeat him
If you know anything about boxing, its not always the name and who you beat that makes it a significant win, but when you beat them in their respective careers
@ 135 fought David Diaz, the worst titleholder of that time when Casamayor, Juan Diaz, Nate Campbell, and Juan Manuel Marquez were there
@ 140 Hatton had a shaky showing with Lazcano, a gimmie with Malignaggi who was picked because he got knocked out before and Paulie has no power, and Mayweather beat Hatton when he was undefeated full of confidence and before he had all that psycologoical and physical damage.
@ 147 Mosley hadn't won a fight in years and hadn't looked impressive since he kayoed Margarito....he lost to Mayweather, drew with Sergio Mora, then Roach lets him fight him
Cotto was coming off the worst beating of his life at the hands of Margo and a shaky showing with Clottey....he did not look impressive
Algieri.....this fight was a joke....a titleholder from a lower weight with a sub 30% ko ratio
Rios.....a blown up lightweight who did nothing before or after at welterweight...another showcase fight
JMM...got robbed in fight 3 and kayoed him to make things right
Bradley....was his only fight with a legit welterweight who in consistent and wasn't coming off a beating....well provodnikov took a lot out of him but he did rebound with a JuanMa win
ODLH.....he looked so bad pre fight, during, and after that anyone in the top ten could've kicked a 145 pound ODLH....dude looked horrible, cheekbones purtruding, weight drained...his own fault but he didn't look good either against Forbes, or Mayweather prior...he did against Mayorga but that was at 154 and 2 years prior
I love Manny....he is great but he benefitted from his promoter putting him in with guys after they were not the same and it should be acknowledged
I thought he's too good to be true. He must be cheating. But wait... How could he be good when the level of his opponents is crap. But wait... he's too good to be true... he must be juicing. :pat:
yes pacquiao's career post featherweight is a joke
he also cheats because nobody could go through competition like that!
he's too good so he cheats but he also sucks at the same time.
durrr.
Stop, just please, f*cking stop. How many times haven't we heard this sh*t before. "I love Manny, but let me tell you why he's the worst fighter that ever lived." Taking a page from Dontae's Box Nation, I see. Honestly, nothing original about this thread, it's been made millions of times before. Not gonna stoop to your level and you know what I mean, too. Next time have the guts to say what you mean.
The same thing can be said about any other champion, if you scrutinize every little detail involved. But, don't get it twisted, and remember what they say, "hindsight is always 20/20." It's great to see all these things be brought up 5-10 years down the road, where were these comments before each of those fights, and not 10 f*cking years after the fact.
I'm out.

Good breakdown.
To who? Catchweight aside Mayweather made Marquez look the same way he made those other guys look... Stupid.
Pac would have smoked Ortiz, Baldo and Guerrero.. Especially Guerrero who is a southpaw coming forward.. ****ing A those were easy fights for Pac.. **** I dont think any of those guys beat Marg/Shane/Cotto even after Pac got to them.. So yeah continue whining..
Comparing Resumes are like comparing who's got a better haircut. There's timing issues that are subjective and the hairstyles that we love/hate...hahaha
Who gives a sh1t about comparing their resumes
They are gonna fight each other within a month
Whoever legitimately wins is the greatest fighter of 21st century
To who? Catchweight aside Mayweather made Marquez look the same way he made those other guys look... Stupid.
To any boxer...
I don't care what floyd did to marquez or ghost etc..
To think guys like ortiz and ghost are tougher outs than marquez is just absurd.
Why do you think floyd gets more credit for shutting out Marquez, than he does vs for beating ghost or ortiz... It's because marquez is a much higher caliber fighter than those guys
What's it matter I could throw out any name and you're either going to shoot it down or make some argument against it. It's impossible to say.
Yeah, because nobody in this era could do it except for floyd..
Marquez probably has the best chance but he couldn't get past Bradley..
If your going to claim manny's resume is smoke and mirrors than there surely should be at least a half of dozen guys or so that could have done it..
Shouldn't be that hard to name guys if this was such an easy task
These morons still trying to discuss resume.. Every fighter's resume can always be discredited depending on how much hate you have towards the fighter.. So for these floydiots to nitpick every single detail on a Pac's resume is expected..
In any case, the fight is made... So no need to start a 12 page debate about this..
If Floyd and his fans really believed what is being said in this thread, the fight would have been signed in 2009. Floyd Sr didn't want his son to fight Manny.
Apparently they know better than them both and manny stinks.
Cotto/clottey were solid wins imo... Their fight was razor close and manny dominated both back to back right afterwards to leave no doubt who was better.
And while marquez wasn't a true welter, he is a much more threatening and dangerous opponent than ghost, Guerrero, ortiz, baldomir
And I don't think it's fair to say that manny beat guys that were previously stopped like hatton and cotto, but then don't apply that same criticism to floyds fights with ortiz or Judah, or cotto
To who? Catchweight aside Mayweather made Marquez look the same way he made those other guys look... Stupid.
I still want to know what 135/147 guy not named floyd would win all these fights
What's it matter I could throw out any name and you're either going to shoot it down or make some argument against it. It's impossible to say.
UOTE=RetroSpeed05;15540071]Exactly and some saying , Floyd won the Lineal title again he beat Mosley!!!!
Even tho 2010 everyone knew Pac was the best opponent and biggest legacy fight then some stupid Lineal recognition.
The concept is stupid when it doesn't support your position
This is how it works....when Mayweather retired Cotto n Margo were #1 and #2....Margo won....he was 1 and Mosley 2...Mosley won and the berto fight fell through twice, Mayweather comes back after a tune up with jmm and beat Mosley...reclaiming the top spot
All the while team PAC avoided Mosley until Mayweather beat him and a draw with Mora
Notice the pattern...Mayweather fought the top guys not just top names
That's one example and its a **** one, because Mosley drew with ****in mora four months later. You think it was the same Mosley from a year earlier against tony? This is futile you're one of the dumbest, **** gobbling posters on here.
This is all that needs to be said. Floyd himself was blown away by what he was doing and assumed the only possible explanation was peds. Yet his retarded minions are in here making up more excuses.

....... but in other threads from 2009-2015:
Floyd and his fans then contradict themselves and say that nobody could have done what Manny did without PEDs. Not possible. That is why Floyd and his fans have been complaining since 2009. So what is the truth? Too funny!

Floyd beating odlh @ 154>Margo at 150 after 1 year suspension and ko loss
Floyd beating canelo @ 152>Margo @ 150
Floyd beating Cotto @ 154>Margo @ 150
Fighting Margo would have done nothing for his legacy.... Margarito had heart and stamina but his ledger is hell of thin and wouldn't have been a top 5 or even 8 win for floyd
Oscar: Actually, Margarito did have a fight prior to the Manny fight. It was Oscar that hadn't fought in a year. Before that, Oscar hadn't fought in 2 years and was also KOed!!! So that makes it 1 fight in 3 years!
Canelo had a terrible game plan and his inexperience was telling. Looked drained and complained about the CW prior to the fight. Looked very average in his previous fight.
Cotto fight happened 5 years too late and several KOs too late. Its funny that just like you forget to bring up Oscar's inactivity, you forget to bring up Cotto's KO losses.
