It's not getting a lot of press but I really like the Lee-Quillin match. I could see their two styles and the magnitude of the occasion making for dull action but who wins? I'm leaning toward Lee who I think can match Quillin's boxing skill with a lethal left to boot.
Thoughts?
I liked the fight. Good match up, close fight, Quillin should have capitalized more early but good showing for both guys even though they got dropped they showed heart. Both are winners in my eyes
i woke up thinking about the knockdown that Lee got. The setup, and the punch, the timing....how he walked off when he landed was great. Also the focus in quillins eyes early in teh fight when he got the knockdown. Not huge volume in the fight but they were throwing with full power on almost every punch all the way. The slow action still was pretty tense I thought because of that i thought. good fight:boxing:
I thought he won (PQ) too by a round. He blew it though when he didn't take Lee out in the first. Lee could barely even stand up (he is lucky the ref didn't stop it when he had to lock his knees to stop swaying) and he waited until 4 seconds to go to throw another punch.
If I was crazy I'd say something like Haymon told Peter to be overweight and paid Lee to fight an even match and the judges to get a damn draw on the cards. Peter avoids Golovkin and gets rematch title fight + paycheck and probably wins the second time (not sure if Lee is good at adjusting wel enough to win).
I thought Quillin might of edged it but I wasn't keep track of scoring at all. Both men could of done a lot more. I thought Lee had a nice straight left but didn't use it enough nor his jab.
Thank god Saunders is next....unless he gets paid off again

Just finished watching , real good fight.
Disagree with 95% of people on here saying it should have been a draw . F.u.ck that Quillen won that .if Quillen wasn't one of the least respected fighters on here everyone would be crying robbery.
i want to see the punching stats for the quillin/lee
According to punch stats it was, er, a draw pic.twitter.com/Dc4EoV86pk— Kevin Byrne (@KevooByrne) April 12, 2015
You do realize that this is the Quillin - Lee thread don't you? There is a Garcia - Peterson thread right next to it that you should be posting in about that fight.
Sucks to have crooked ass decisions on regular TV. You could tell the fix was in, when the one commentator all of a sudden started saying that Peterson had started coming onin the last few rounds, after not doing much in the first part of the fight. After slobbing Peterson's boxing ability down in the first quarter of the fight as Peterson easily outboxed Garcia. He must of forgot that both he, and Leonard already called it that Peterson was outboxing him, and their sentiment was in gross disagreement with Farhood's card. Farhood definitely got paid some change to come up with that bull**** card, as did the judges.
