Serious question...what was that? A circle, no rope, much smaller than an average ring, ****ty fights lol It seemed like a ****ty futuristic satire on what sports will look like in a 100 years. It looked like The Running man ffs.
That was horrible.

It was actually a spin off tourney of the Masters, Tiger Woods actually won. It was monumental. You'll come around man, you're still growing up. Almost there.
Put some fire around the circle and make them take their gloves off and I pay my money for that.
**** it let them fight the old way in an underground temple, then dip their hands in resin then broken glass. Fight doesn't stop until someone is stopped or says uncle.
Says the guy complaining about not showing ring girls, non traditional ringwalks or showing 'belts'.
Hypocrite much?
But change or innovation actually has to be good and get new people involved, BKB comes across as a joke
We might be able to quantify pounds of pressure or count the punches we can see with our eyes.
We will never quantify will, heart, and desire. (This relates to the guy getting punched)
well said.
I'm sure it's not 100% accurate and can be misleading, but the same is true about Compubox and that is a somewhat recent technology that has been incorporated into mainstream boxing and is now very important to fans. Literally two guys with clickers in their hands. I'd wager the chip technology is probably more accurate than compubox in fact.

That is exactly the kind of thing that gets the attention of casual fans. It's new, it's technological gadgetry. Something like that would help PBC get over. Think of all the television shows that have websites to go along with the show. Some, like Walking Dead, even integrate the show with the site while the broadcast is on. Imagine a website that a fan could call up on their PC, tablet or smartphone to keep track of the punch count and power stats during the fight? That would get fans' attention.
Out of the box thinking. That is what gets people talking and recommending something to their friends to watch.

I hate compubox and I hate how some fans use it like it's all boxing is
James Toney will love BKB.
Burger King Burgers.
loool
The reason I didn't really enjoy it is because it is like Women's boxing! Come on, 2 minute rounds????? And only 7 rounds for guys who have fought 10-12 round fights in the past????
Yeah, that felt weird. The fight was heating up, and just like that it was over.
Why is it 2 minutes and not 3, all they did was take ropes away, am I missing something. I didn't see either guy do anything different than what they normally do.
I wonder how accurate it is compared to punching using a regular glove to hit a heavybag with the same chip technology that computes the force in pounds it received laid out on it's surface.
These guys have chips in the gloves and land on different points on the head and body.
I don't think they claim it is 100% accurate but it does give an idea of exactly what kind of force is involved in a professional boxer's punch. VERY few people have any real idea what it feels like to take a real punch. This just adds a little extra information to the show and gives viewers something to think about and go 'WOW' over.
Yeah I like the chip technology they have in the gloves that measures the speed of the punch and force. So you can see exactly how much was behind a big hit. HBO flirted with the idea before Greenberg got sacked, never took off. I remember Amir Khan was going to wear them. I know it's kinda gimmicky, but I don't care, I think it's cool.

Obviously nothing will compare to, or replace traditional boxing. BKB is just a fun event that's supposed to promote knock outs and brawls. It's usually pretty good paydays for guys and gives them some decent publicity as well. It's just a once in a while thing, something different and all about excitement and fun. I don't know why people really knock it so much, if you just appreciate it for what it is it's cool. It's not revolutionary or going to change boxing, just entertainment.
Fully agree with this.

EXACTLY!!! The show was fun to watch and that was all I was asking for. I wasn't expecting championship caliber fights or history to be made. What I got was more than I expected going in and I can't complain about that. I did like the sensors in the gloves and can see that being adapted for regular boxing some time down the road. It would be a nice complement to Compubox stats.
At least I was not bored.
Give me traditional boxing over anything.
This feels a little like a gimmick and an attempt to branch out to an alternate fan base. I'd imagine any excitement it generates will soon dissipate.
Rosado isn't even a fighter built for BKB in my opinion. He isn't a slugger at heart.
This fight likely would of been better in a boxing ring. They were just getting warmed up in there.
yeah BKB maybe effed up not giving Stevens the decision, because he is a guy who is more likely to deliver them knockouts. Hopefully they put the rematch on if regular boxing doesn't steal it.
I would suggest some Street Fighter locations for these bouts...but this video has explained to me why many of them are improbable.
