It was a great fight and both fighters gave a good account of themselves. How about we just give props to both for putting on a hell of a show?
The dislike for a fighters goes overboard here on NSB. These are two world level fighters that got together, something we can't seem to do too often in boxing anymore, and people are trying to nitpick both performances.
Thurman and Guerrero fought to the best of their ability. Thurman showed poise and patience and Guerrero, as usual, brought his heart and determination.
Nah, "he only landed a hand full of clean punches" you said in the other thread. Jesus Christ. Am I talking to SRL from last night?
Either you've mistaken me with another poster or you're making shi t up because I never said that in any thread.
The eye is probably just blood draining down into it from the head.
It turned out to be a decent fight and Guerrero had "SOME" moments, but even when he decided to go broke he wasnt doing much of anything and when he had him against the ropes his punches looked feeble.
Of course he hit him. But compared to what Thurman did to him? No comparison.

Stop acting like Guerrero didn't land any punches or shake Thurman up a bit. FFS. :nono:

From a clash of heads. Stop pretending Guerrero dished out a lot of punishment with his fist because he didn't. It wasn't even a close fight.
I admire Guerrero's heart and chin but I'm sick of people rewriting history as if Guerrero was the one doing the damage with his hands.
