I totally agree,
But, I think most of y'all are missing the whole point of this.
They're trying to make boxing just like Monday night football or basketball.
Everyone in the world watches those sports religiously and raises their kids up on their favorite teams,
so fans are pretty much born into those sports.
That's why they're so popular and is a billion dollar industry.
In order to make the transition,
you have to cut the ignorance out because it will turn off the masses that are too conservative.
If at any point they get the idea that this is some kind of "THUG Program" they're gonna tune out.
Haymon knows exactly what hes doing.
I think its all clean cut in the beginning and as they get comfortable and feel out things a little more, they will loosen up a bit and start to incorporate the traditional things.
But imagine lil wayne or some other tattooed cussing freak yelling cuss-worded ignorance into the mic bringing AB out....
What about the "White collars", the "wall street" guy that wants to catch the fight? The snobs? They'll tune out immediately.
Even with the announcing, it felt like a basketball game to me.
If you noticed, everything was a bit dumbed down, spoken so it could be easily understood.
SRL even explained what he meant by "Cutting off the ring" he said
"By that I mean, minimize the space that the other fighter can use."
give it time fellas.
They know what they're doing. This is a good thing.
but thurman, broner, molina, guerrero are not gonna be around to raise your kids off of?
lol.
i mean what are they gonna raise their kids to PBC boxing lol.
At the end of the day, you are born alone and fight alone
Boxing isn't a team sport so it doesn't matter who comes out with the fighter, its their job to execute the game plan.
You life alone...you fight alone...the crowd, corner and broadcast doesn't change this...this is what I tell my fighters...they don't call the squared circle the loneliest place in the world for no reason
I agree with this. Make them all walk alone, they're men going to fight, don't need a crew of imbeciles to pump them up.
I agree, I don't even mind them walking out alone, but let them play their own music instead or the PBC theme. I don't mind change, but boxing has to atleast maintain its essence imo. The walk out is a part of the sport.

If this becomes successful I'm sure they will move back to a more traditional entrance.
When UFC first started they tried the cheesy gameshow/pro wrestling walk ins but they eventually gave up on the gimmicks and went back to normal.
I agree, I don't even mind them walking out alone, but let them play their own music instead or the PBC theme. I don't mind change, but boxing has to atleast maintain its essence imo. The walk out is a part of the sport.
So you think a guy walking out alone is "gay"..but a group of sweaty men in a large pile crunched together in movement is not "gay"....interesting
There's alwasy that one idiot that doesn't comprehend the title of the thread and says something completely out of left field

:lol1: :lol1: :lol1:
It looks a bit weird but nobody is watching boxing for a Ring Walk I don't think.
Haymon is trying to make boxing like WWE
fixed fights, similar production, etc for entertainment value ONLY and creating fake "stars".
Whenever Thurman talks it sounds like he's trying to do a bad wrestling promo so I'm sure it's right up his alley.
