Broner has shown tonight that he is still a great fighter.
The excuses I have seen made for Molina make me sick.
Why can't you guys give credit where credit is due.

because Molina is not that good. He is there to be hit, tailor made for Bronner.
People ignore the obvious with Bronner: part of the reason he was fighting Molina from the get go is because at least three of his wins could have gone either way, for example Paulie could have easily been declared the winner in their fight.
They put him in against Molina because they are scared that he will get beat. A guy who is supposed to be as good as Bronner does not move so far backwards...given his age and trajectory even for a tune up fight he shouldn't be fighting so far down.
They cannot find an opponent that Bronner can beat, that is compitant at his weight. They want to get as many fights, entertainment value, out of this kid before they throw him to the wolves. Bronner is entertaining....lets see who he fights next...if they can make an excuse to put him in against any more cannon fodder before he has to step up.
Its professional prize fighting which means when you are exposed, if you don't go back to school and get better, you are done. Bronner cannot even make weight much longer which means he will lose all his power, leaving him in berto territory. Yes he has a beard, but a beard and speed can only get one so far if they are hittable and technically unstable.
has anyone else noticed the way Broner brings back his right hand? he does it all weird/flashy like he's in the matrix.
Broner ia nothing special. He stands right in front of his man. A live body would have him out of there. I wiah Manny fought him. What a ko that would be.
If broner fights any legit fighter at 140, he gets iced. Crawford, rios, Matthysse...they all beat the brakes off this dude.
Just think...everyone here is calling Molina garbage, got paid off, or was in survival mode...but broner couldn't get a fighter who wasn't fighting back out of there?! smh...he's a hype job
Molina is tough. Apart from DeMarco catching him in the first 30 seconds when they fought, Matthysse is the only guy who got him out of there in 30+ fights.
But yeah, Broner doesn't seem to have much pop at 140 which is a big problem. He's not really a good enough boxer to hold off the serious hitters in the division.
Fortunately for him, few of those guys are with Haymon.

Broner is not "GREAT" but he has TALENT. Broner is really good when he comes FORWARD and is not fighting off of his Backfoot. He gets in trouble when he starts backing up and trying to fight off of his backfoot trying to copy Mayweather. But when he is doing work in the POCKET he is VERY GOOD!
molina was coming off 2 losses. how much credit do you want to give broner for winning a tuneup geez. he's had 3 tune ups in a row now, its time to get that career moving right? time for a top ten guy? he's set the bar so low that guys like khabib, herrera, and postal will look like big fights lol.
Postol and Herrera at this point are bigger fights for Broner yet he will be classed as the A-Side for those fights :lol1:
However if you go to the master thread, you barely see anyone giving Broner any credit, they are saying that Molina looks like he got paid off.

Molina got his shine for knocking down Matthysse twice now it's over. He's notHing more than a c level puncher. He didn't even attack Broner and let his hands go. If Broner ever fights Rios he gets killed. That's the fight I want to see. It would be worse than the Maidana fight.

So by that you are saying Matthysse is even better. He got the job done in style........
C'mon, take it for what it was, an average fighter Vs a show pony who I have never regarded as "great" talented for sure, but not great.
He'll be found out again.
I like most other people have give Broner a fare share of stick in the past but credit when it's due he looked really good, even if it was against a guy doing off 2 losses. Broner handled business looked composed and made it look easier than I thought he would. He also looked like he'd worked on a few things, one being fighting his own fight and not coming off as a bad Mayweather clone, how he got his shots off then turned Molina was excellent as well. Great job!

Few comments from last night's telecast:
LOL at the chorus of boos when the fight announcer said after the fight "let's give these two warriors a round of applause!" :lol1:
Broner looked alright; he boxed well and didn't over-commit to his offense; his defense looked pretty solid albeit against an opponent who didn't come to fight
On paper, this looked like a good fight with a boxer-puncher against a brawler and I thought Broner would have no problem scoring the KO. However, Molina refused to engage and that left Broner boxing and cautiously pressing his offense. The crowd was booing Broner but it was Molina's refusal to engage the action that made the fight so boring. I think Molina's mindset was "I don't feel like getting beat up tonight so I'm just gonna go into survival mode."
Hopefully in Broner's next fight, his handlers find an opponent who is there to actually fight

The problem's the shoulder roll.
It's AB's problem rather presenting a problem for anyone else.
It's an unatural style for him. If he thinks the shoulder roll suits him then he's playing himself.
He's a relaxed fighter yet tenses up when in the shoulder roll guard.
I'm not talking about when the opponents swinging at him. He tenses up before that in anticipaton and presents his opponent with a golden opportunity
If he ignored the shoulder roll, boxed and moved & used what comes naturally then he would be hard to beat.
Trying to be something he's not & inserting a synthetic style into his natural game makes him vulnerable
Broner is fearless, we've seen that. We're now seeing him fighting smarter, if he really smartens up he'll move away from that shoulder roll
Broner doesn't punch when punched at and his defense has got so leaky that too many big punches slip in.
He still has speed and power but at times doesn't move his legs enough to get out of the way of incoming punches. An active fighter with better skill than Molina will trouble him because AB likes to fight at a certain pace
I think Broner loses to the heavy hitters at 140... The guy is easy to hit.. and stays in front of his man.
Provodnikov would KO him. Matthysse as well perhaps.
Garcia wins too. Algieri would keep moving on him and probably win by decision. Crawford would outbox him.
And I'm convinced more than ever, that Broner will never able to successfully move up to 147.
Broner is a natural talent
His downfall will be his commitment outside of camp & trying to mimic someone elses style
When Broner is relaxed and flowing he is slick, fast, evasive and powerful. When he tries to use the shoulder roll he becomes vulnerable, he tenses up, loses some of that slickness & is easier to hit
Are you one of those Khan fans who is disappointed that mayweather is fighting pacquiao instead of Khan. You are pathetic. Broner sends Khan to queer street.
Not a chance that Broner beats Khan. He has no power above 135, flat footed, and gets thoroughly outboxed 10-2/9-3.
