Didnt Pac throw significantly less against JMMin their fights? I remember that being a stat. Maybe their early 2 fights. Im just thinking against a smart counter puncher, if an aggressive fighter cant hit the target, he throws less. Pac can throw as much as he likes, but i believe he wont land, and will get countered. I pray im wrong, and Pac outworks him.

Pac has to be strong enough to drive Floyd back and into his punches...One thing about Mayweather is, while he doesn't fight partcularly well inside he is good at tying up. The other thing is that at times he tries to counter with the shoulder roll and actually Pac could really have success if Floyd tries to counter Pac while going back towards the ropes. Interstingly enough one BIG difference between Floyd and Marquez is that Floyd Really has to be set to punch. Even when he check hooked hatton he had to be set up outside of the bum rush. marquez is more versatile as a counter puncher and can hit on the move. basically if Pac can overpower with volume driving Floyd farther back from the center of the ring and into the ropes he can scpre a lot because Floyd's legs are not what they used to be. So Mike is right. Volume punchers, swarmers are always dangerous to a boxer. What a lot of people may not realize is that Floyd stopped volume throughout his career with his legs not his hands! As a matter of fact the biggest intangible in this fight is footspeed. If Pac really has it the fight will be intersting. Madianna was able to drive floyd back with his reach and jab and flail him on the ropes, can Pac, as Tyson suggests, drive Floyd, control him with footspeed vis a vis punching volume? You can just tell Mike could probably crack the top 10 in one of these ABC divisions if he put in a solid training camp and diet. It's a shame there aren't any HW's out there that fight out of the peek a boo stance that put punches together the way he did etc... He was certainly a specimen, he was special but I fear the HW division is doomed in the sense that the tall/big guys are going to control things from here on out and it will be the one basic style used by all... Use the jab as a range finder, straight right down the pipe as soon as the smaller guy gets inside... Tie him up! I mean if it gets you the wins and more importantly the belts I can't knock it ... Bradley found out what happens when you decide to lay on the ropes against Pacquiao. If Floyd moves and throws more then one punch at a time he wins a decision. If not, Pacquiao out works him and takes the win.
