So who the hell's in Canelo's corner?

We can have our opinions, but it works for him he feels comfortable, so why would he change it. Fk around and go the way of Kirkland with no Wolfe without Chepo singing him lullabies at sleepy time

Eddie and 'Chepo' have done an admirable job with Canelo; he's arguably the second best junior middleweight on the planet and he's yet to reach 25. no need to diss what they've been able to do with him. Pretty much this. If it's not broke, don't fix it. If he goes on a losing streak then it will be time to shake things up. Losing one fight against P4P#1 isn't the end of the world. I would love e to see him train with a world renowned coach though. But no need for it right now. Nothing to worry about, at least not yet.

chepo reynoso is his manager, advisor, SC coach and nutritionist(chef), chepos son is canelos trainer, cut-man, etc... oh and also chepo is a part time singer when canelo feels sad... yes canelo needs a change, i doubt it happens soon... at least have canelo do mini-camps with different trainers... :lol1: Hilarious. It sucks because Canelo could have developed much faster and into an incredible boxer puncher under the likes of Ignacio Beristain.Oh well, I guess he's happy with Chepo's singing :lame:

Who's Canelo's trainer? Does he have a Strenght/Conditioning coach like any top fighter should? It seems Canelo's corner is filled with useless, random nobodies. I think I saw in the All Access for the Lara fight is that he's "loyal" to the corner that he started with. I understand his sentiment but you have to be self aware and know that they've taken you as far as they could, and it's time to move on and continue to grow with other people.

Ginger deserves some praise for getting this far with such a bum corner , though their plan for the Mayweather match was beyond awful

The only reason I would consider picking Cotto over Canelo is how much superior his corner is.

They seemed like a bunch of yes men in the Mayweather-Canelo all access. the dude needs to get a new corner. I remember Floyd sr saying they were trash after the angulo fight The only real reason I can think of of having a group of nobodies train you is to be the boss in camp. That is not exactly the way to get pushed to a higher level and I don't know that Canelo is that much of a self starter. I have to think he would need to get beat again to really change that line of thinking.

It seems like the trainers themselves condition him, from what I've seen. Imo he needs a whole new team tbh. His trainers have taught him everything they know already. It's time for him to get a new team so he can learn new things. The only thing Canelo needs to fix is his stamina issues(they improved A LOT in the Angulo and Lara fights) and cutting off the ring/footwork. If he can fix those two things he'll more of a force than what he is now, guaranteed.

S&C "coaches" aren't necessary at all. if anything, a proper dietist/nutritionist is more important.

He needs Nacho and a proper S&C coach. Eddie and Chepo can pick up the spot buckets. Abel Sanchez wouldn't be a bad choice either.

I don't know who Canelo's stength and conditioning coach is (if he has one) but his stamina didn't look too bad against Lara. Definitely better than before.
