To prepare for pacquiao. I personally feel he could find much better work than chop chop. He's old and past it. Also not really a great style match of Pac.
Corley still goes the distance against much younger guys than him, and even gets a few unexpected wins here and there. He has 22 losses, but only 5 of them were by stoppage. None were back to back either, they were spread out through his career.
Pac got a hold of two good young undefeated fighters who imitate Floyd well.
Choosing Corley does little for floyd. He needs a fast strong southpaw.
Why doesn't Floyd spar Errol Spence Jr again? Or is floyd afraid of getting beat up like he did last time?
Why didn't PAC ever spar him?
so what does corley bring? experience?? maybe experience at getting his butt whopped over and over considering how many losses he has. only thing corley has in common with pacquiao is they're both southpaws and that's absolutely it. at least pac is bringing in sparring partners who mimick floyd's stance, defensive minded, who throw quick sharp right hands, etc. you know things pac need to expect when he fights floyd!
what's so laughable about bringing sparring partners who actually prepare your for the fighter you are facing next??????!?!!??! speedy fighters from the southpaw stance!!!! fighters who hit hard!!!!!!!!!!?!?!?!!?
truth is floyd is going to get bloodied and bruised in this fight. can't wait for you floyd rejects tp disappear after your hero gets his butt whopped sucker hahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha
As I said there is a whole lot more to this than physical attributes. If he gets in there and he only prepared for a fast and strong southpaw and not every other possible situation such as Pacquiao's craft and ring smarts being a lot better than he expected than he is unprepared and shyt out of luck.
Just 1 of MANY Sparring Partners if you know anything about how fighters run their camps
They don't. That would imply half of these people have even stepped foot in a ring before. These are supposedly boxing fans, and they actually believe Mayweather should have just all fast and strong southpaws for sparring partners. Nothing inbetween.
"But Corley shop worn doe"
I think he knows what he's doing.
All assets don't necessarily have to come from one dude. It's not even possible to find in one guy(Unless his name happens to be Pacquiao) so it's a faulty premise to begin with in the first place to believe one or two guys can prepare you for a style
Ideally you want a mix of youth for sparring partners that'll have that extra spring in their step to push you harder physically and veteran sparring partners like Corley that have had long professional careers and have seen and know more tricks in the ring than a youth would.
"OMG HE NEED DA FAST AND STRONG AND YUNG LEFTIES"
"Where Judah doe"
"Where Spence doe"
There's a whole lot more to this than something that is THAT brain dead obvious like physical traits. Wake the **** up
No, that's false.
Before the Guerrero fight, there was another sparring partner that busted Floyd's nose (made him bleed, which is why in the Guerrero fight, midway blood was trickling from his nose, Malignaggi spoke about it). And that guy didn't get kicked out the gym either.
daaaaammm so floyds nose getting busted up left and right now. pac might rearrange it and put his nose by his ear
I heard Floyd kicked him out of the gym temporarily :dunno:

Spence Jr. will likely return as a sparring partner. He was a main sparring partner for the fight against Guerrero. And no, he did not get beat up. Spence Jr and Floyd even spoke immediately after the Guerrero fight (it's caught on camera). So much for Floyd being 'scared'.

"Who are you gonna spar for to train you with the style of Pacquiao?
Robert Garcia said the same thing, it's harder to prepare for Manny than it is Floyd.
