I say this because a lot of commentators are biased towards a certain fighter and as a result there scorecards are a less accurate reflection of the fight and they also subconsciously affect the viewers outlook on the fight too. For example in England we have a wanker called Jim Watt who talks bollocks and in Porter-Brook, he had Porter winning by a wide margin *facepalm*.
Case Study #2 Matthysse vs Garcia
Watch the fight from this great in arena footage and then tell me that this fight was an ass whooping. Hell no it was a very close fight which Danny Garcia edged. Matthysse was up 4-2 after 6 on the official scorecards so don't tell me that the eye wasn't a factor as Garcia's best weapon the left hook could no longer be seen by Lucas who was still on the front foot the whole fight. Knockdown a clear rabbit punch too. Props to DSG though, always gets the job done. http://youtu.be/2KiYDxbziwU
He is the absolute worst. If he can't control his biases, he shouldn't have that job. He always talks nonsense no matter what the fight and sounds like he has no clue what is really happening.
He's always really negative about fighters as well, I hate that. He's a former boxer himself so he should know not to denigrate a fighter who's limited and getting beat the sh*t out of.
Jim Watt is a weird one.
He doesn't seem to always show hometown (or home promotion) bias, but instead picks his favourite before the fight (or in the early rounds) and then will constantly praise their work through the fight.
He ends up with some hilarious scorecards

P.S the point of the thread is about commentators and the happenings of the Matthysse-Garcia fight so lets not argue about that. I have boxed for 3 and a half years so I know how important it is too have 2 eyes a good opponent let alone the number 1 guy in the division.
