I don't. Hagler is the middleweight G.O.A.T. He would pound both Hopkin's and RJ.
I agree that Haggler is in the top 1-3 all time at MW.
What about guys like Carlos Monzon? SRR at Middle? Ezzard Charles? Then there is the seriously underrated Mike McCallum in the late 80's early 90's. Hell even RJJ and James Tony when he wasn't a fat ass. I don't think that Haggler beats every single one of those guys even thought I'd have him favored against some of them.
Hopkins had long moved up before Pavlik was in contention. Winky barely had any MW fights. Remember that for the longest time Sylvester was a top 5 middle, with serious scrubs like Asikainen, Lorenzo, Zbik in the top 10
Amen. The division was weaker then than it is now.
Monzon would son Hagler. FFS hagler struggled with a blown up lightweight and lost to a welterweight. Robinson and Jones crush Hagler aswell.
Monzon would "son" Hagler??? Based on what? Hagler is the greatest middleweight ever. I wish he and Monzon would've fought, too. Monzon was my boy as well and had a killer jab BUT Hagler was more skilled and more violent. You didn't break Hagler and that would've been his demise. As for Robinson.....Hahahaha! Hagler would KO him. That old school hands down style of fighting would get exposed. He is not the greatest middleweight ever, man. Hagler is.
Pretty big misconception on NSB that Hopkins had a low output. Yeah he does now that he's old, at middleweight in his prime he didn't have a low output. Watch Hopkins vs Glen Johnson, Echols, etc. He's was more of a seek & destroy type fighter back then, as he aged he threw less and became more defensive.
Yeah, that is true. That is why Triple would beat him at that time. He became a much better fighter when he slowed down and started to be more defensive.
Hopkins, Pavlik, Winky Wright, Abraham, Taylor. It was much better than it is now.

I didn't say they would win, they are some of the best MW's of all time regardless and the kinds of names it would take to beat GGG.
Oh, okay. Just remember this about Roy Jones; back then he fought a lot unworthy fighters. Taxi cab drivers, firemen, policemen, etc. What we didn't know all of that time, is that he could not take a punch. That is why I was like nope. LoL. Roy gets KO'ed against Hagler. Hopkin's would get beat up as well. He didn't have the work-rate, skill-set, or punch to keep Hagler off of him. I think Roy is the fastest fighter I ever seen inside a boxing ring but it wouldn't have helped him against A Level fighters of today or yesterday. Triple G KO's Roy and possibly outworks Hopkin's. Hopkin's has a better shot to defeat Triple G than Roy, but I think he would get outworked. Hopkin's low punch output is a weakness in the same way that Floyd's low punch output per round, is.

I would put Hopkins and Jones up there with Haggler, in the same category/level of fighter.

Nah prime Hopkins would have beat Golovkin. Jones too.
Taylor dies though.

GGG by first round KO. Taylor struggled to beat little harmless Spinks. GGG is way to hard hitting for Taylor who has a poor chin. Taylor's biggest accomplishments were his two wins over Hopkins and I thought Hopkins won both fights.
Taylor was never great when he was being backed up, and being dictated to. He'd get brutally KO'd.
Was always best when he was the bully that could out speed, and jab you all night. God, I still remember how awesome his jab was.
