Floyd Mayweather has 2 more fights left in his career. We know he fights Manny Pacquiao on May 2.
But after that he has a contract with Showtime to fight one more fight which will happen in September
So after Floyd defeats Pacquiao. Who does he fight in his last fight.
GGG maybe? Abel Sanchez says "It's very possible"
So you guys think Manny beats Floyd on 5/2?
hahahaha OK.
Floyd was forced to take the fight. If it were that easy, he would have just gotten it out of the way years ago and moved on to the next challenge.
Come on now....Floyd da best evah doe!!! GGG would break Floyd to bits and pieces. After Manny makes him quit on his stool, Floyd can face GGG as his farewell fight for Showtime.
I think Maidana's crudity was his main strength in that fight. Floyd didn't see it coming. And he adjusted handsomely.
I think at 154 GGG wouldn't be himself anyway. He's offered to come down, though.
Skills kills.
Alexander dealt with him with ease.
Hell Khan boxed his ears off till the 10th round.
Plus he never wore pillow for that fight.
GGG is better in every department.
GGG is also a small middle.
He was at 163lbs a week before the Murray fight, could easily drop 9lbs to make weight
If crude Maidana who got schooled by Alexander, can take 6 rounds off him in the first fight, what do you think GGG does to him?

Floyd would probably win at 154 anyway.

We just got the fight we all wanted signed and you are posting this?
Pretty much this....they never wanted May/Pac in the first place-they just wanted to obsess on a guy and call him a coward and pray that May never got the fight with Manny so they could demean a fighter.
Nothing will ever be good enough for these people.
GGG fights more like Castillo than he does Canelo. Castillo gave Floyd more than enough trouble, so even on a P4P level, GGG's style would be good enough to fight even with, if not beat Floyd. Now let's take in the fact that he's a solid MW who punches a lot harder than Castillo, thus giving better command of the ring. Floyd really has no shot here. Simply saying it's because of size isn't half of it - it's style, skill, size and power.
dafuq is this shlt?
Ah come off it Jas the dude has timed his fights beautifully and robbed us of the biggest superfight in history not once like Riddick Bowe, but for an entire decade and obviously forever too. You know he ain't gonna go through with that PAc fight.
Get real man, surely we can agree on this issue?
No. Floyd likes money. He's gonna get paid a lot
He hasn't pulled out of a fight since Marquez which was delayed
He actually has a history of going through with fights whilst carrying injuries
Castillo I- torn rotator cuff
Maidana I- injured hand
Hernandez- bad hands
And if he picks up a minor injury he will go through with the fight given it's magnitude
He has never lost
He must have a massive winning mentality and believes he will beat manny
But I'm sure he has some doubt .
But so do all fighters
Hopkins and kovalev had doubts before their fight
Floyd's last fight, he weighed 150lbs on fight night. Golovkin weighs 173-174lbs. That's a 23-24lb weight difference on FN. But it's fine.
Ward weighs 176lbs on fight night, GGG 173-174, 2-3lb weight difference on FN. But Ward has to move up to fight Kovalev.
But then they say with a straight face, that Floyd is a bum or overrated

Yes it is.
the posts here are interesting/telling
I think Floyd has a realistic chance of beating him, but that doesn't mean I'd pick him to win
I'd say it's a 60/40 fight for GGG, people really do fall in love with punchers and I say this as a bigger GGG fan than Mayweather fan but stop pretending like Floyd has no chance, that's absurd, they are two divisions apart. There are much greater disparities in weight in the heavyweight division (I can already hear the responses being typed up regarding this comment, "But the percentage of weight increase is larger going from 147-160!)
also, Floyd fought Canelo who has blown up to 170+ multiple times (granted he was 165 in the Floyd fight), and Canelo is every bit as big as GGG is in the frame.

You have to specify the weight they're fighting at.
At 160, GGG probably wins by TKO.
At 154...I don't know. Floyd might pull that one out.
Floyd is smaller like a bird, with bird bones, compared to GGG. Not a fair matchup. But Floyd is so freaking skilled he would make it interesting.
