Why was Canelo in such a hurry to take the Mexican dates?

see thats the attitude, look for no excuses... im looking froward for canelo-ggg i know it will happen sooner or later and it will be fireworks... Believe me, I want to see Cotto V GGG, Cotto V Canelo, Canelo V GGG etc. As a fan this is good stuff but I am alos aware that there comes a point where a fighter is looking to retire in good health and with as many chips as possible.

I believe they call is, "cashing out?" ;) Make no mistake, so is Canelo with his "deadlines..." Cotto had a reason in wanting to fight Floyd. Good money and a chance at redemption. A fighter with pride will often want another go at a fighter who beat him. Tito wanted Hopkins and pursued him for years regardless and Cotto would LOVE to rematch Floyd and Pac regardless. Canelo is 23, Cotto knows Canelo is going to be around for the next few years. It was Canelo overcome with his interesting little supriority/inferiority trip, wanted to SHOW that arrogant Rican, who was the boss. So now you get Canelo V Kirkland. Here's an example of a biased fan who will believe whatever he wants to believe, truth be damned. Let me clear up some misconceptions: Canelo ducked Cotto. When you bail in the middle of negotiations to take another fight no one was calling for, you are ducking the guy you were negotiating with. If Floyd wants September, he'll take September. That whole Mexican date thing is bulltish. I'm Mexican, are you telling me I only watch boxing on those two dates? If Mayweather fights Pacquiao on Juneteenth, Mexicans aren't going to buy the fight? Besides, there are no memorable fights that happened on those famous Mexican dates, besides Corrales and Castillo, but that fight wasn't promoted as a Mexican weekend date fight and only 5,000 people attended the Mandalay Bay. He's a spoiled brat. Lost to Floyd yet still tried to bully him off certain dates. He could've done so had he defeated him when they fought. wh Oh well, I won't be checking his next fight anyway. Why not? He wwould have had it if Cotto wouldn't have ducked him. As soon as the Canelo vs Cotto talks started for that date it forced Floyd into taking this Pac fight. Had Floyd fought anyone else and Canelo vs Cotto happened he would have had the date, and moving forward Canelo is gonna look to fight Cotto and GGG who is Floyd gonna fight after Manny to draw the same interest? Canelo has nothing to lose doing this

It's not your call or my call. It's up to Canelo and Oscar. If they want to fight on the same day Floyd fights it's a free country and there is not a damn thing Mayweather can do about it regardless of his win over Canelo. If they did fight on the same day what the hell difference would it make? Would the world explode? Are you that concerned with millionair Mayweather not making the maximum amount of money possible? Let them fight on the same dates and the fans can decide who they want to see the most. I promise you they will both make lots of money. I don't really care about money issues in boxing. Unless that is what's holding up certain fights. Then I will care about money. The question started off as a curiosity. Because I'm a normal person. A regular guy with a job and an apartment. So as a normal person with curiosity, I was just sitting here thinking "Is it that hard to wait 2 fights to get what you want?" So like a normal person, I started a thread and asked on a boxing website. Because maybe there were articles I missed about Canelo absolutely has to fight on May 2nd of 2015 because someone he loves is going to die on May 3rd, so it has to be May 2nd. I didn't want to stay ignorant, you know? But it turned into a discussion and I thought I brought up a fair point. If these are Floyd's last two fights and he beat Canelo, he should get these dates. Right? I feel like that's a reasonable point a normal person would bring up, right? So here we are. Can't believe I broke it down to that level just to explain that I had a question that turned into a discussion. Anyways. Even if I did care who made more money between Mayweather and Canelo, than why would I be mad? Didn't Oscar and Canelo end up moving the date anyways? And even though I don't care about the money, I do care that some sh*t like this prevents future fights from happening because of bad blood. Trust me, it's happened before. It's a legitimate concern for a normal boxing fan's perspective. In that case, where you have to decide who gets what, I say it goes to the more deserving.

Cause ginger was tired of mayweather fighting on mexican holdiays and putting on horrible fights. The bigger question is why couldnt mayweather fight on 4th of july or labor day or memorial day?
