Yes you are missing something in the basics of scoring fights , there is a section of scoring that addresses Ring Generalship and defense , avoiding loads of punches gets points , wasnt it Pep or Curruthers that won a round and never threw a single punch . I want you to prove me wrong my posting that section on how to score a fight. I know ring generalship is a measurement on how the fighter control the fight in his favor, defense is a given. But I never heard or seen even on any boxing results that so and so won because his opponent missed such and such.
