Donut Ion (JoJo Dan) the Rod Salka of WW?

"My boy" Jo Jo Dan is old by now and he fades in later rounds. (Aydin floored Dan in both of their fights.)

I've seen Dan fight he isn't bad, I thought he won the first fight against Aydin was a good scrap. Didn't watch the rematch but heard that was razor close too. It almost no way are Dan and Salka comparable. Dan is a step under world level he will drift between titles as mandatory challenger but may never be good enough to win (unless the stab affected Brooks really badly), Salka isn't anywhere close.

He's not Salka bad, but he's bad. He's definitely not in the top 15 at welterweight and possibly not even in the top 20. He's Kell mandatory though, so you can't really complain.

Jo Jo Dan is actually a solid contender with very decent skills.

Ya it's a shame, I think that pistol fight is a great matchup. How can Garcia keep his belt if hasn't defended it in a year. Haymon effect bruh... It is not so bad if the Peterson fight is unification but its not and both get to keep their belt. Kell might demolish Jo Dan within 9 according to TS but it better than Garcia knocking out Salka in 2..

Now on the other hand, Garcia's mandatory is Vikor Postol but he chose to fight Salka and now Peterson.. Ya it's a shame, I think that pistol fight is a great matchup. How can Garcia keep his belt if hasn't defended it in a year.

No way should he be a mandatory. It's a ****in joke fight. And to be honest salka isn't a bad fighter, he just has no business at the upper level and we saw that. He was taught well by spadafora who is a great fighter but he has his limitations. It is what it is. Never have seen much of Jo Dan but the IBF have made him the mandatory. Its not Brook's fault. Salka wasn't a mandatory unlike Jo Jo Dan He was a lightweight fightng at lightwelterweight to be a sacrificial lamb for Garcia No way is Jo Dan a Sucka type fighter.. Uh...one guy is a ranked contender by all the sanctioning bodies who just hasn't had his chance yet. The other guy was ranked by none of the sanctioning bodies, never fought at 140, wasn't even in the top 75 of his own weight class and hadn't beaten anyone in the top 100. Not even close.

In the sense he is a mandatory who is not really nothing special, is weak although his shoddy record suggests otherwise. I guess its okay for a first defence due to his injury.
