if there is an advert in the superbowl, i would think they already had a deal even before the pac-may face-off in miami.
if they do announce it, i'm thinking that the pac and may facing off was planned a little bit. pac's flight was cancelled due to the blizzard and floyd's australia thing was held back was probably dumb luck. they probably decided to do this little shimmy sham to promote the fight.
disclaimer, i'm talking out of my a$$ :lol1:
Nah, you're not. At least a part of that face off was planned IMO. And prob the whole thing.
Do they have time to make an advert not?

With the superbowl just a day or two away and superbowl ads costing 10 million dollars per minute it seems kind of unfeasible that they'll not only sign the fight but drop that kind of money on promotion with literally seconds to spare.
After a short lifetime of dead end negotiations does that really sound likely to you?
Al Haymon already has several superbowl commercial slots. He can use them at any moment.
Oh boxing news 24.... Yeah that's not happening
Even from another source the idea of them wrapping up negotiations in 1 day then producing a superbowl ad that costs almost as much as one of the fighters purses an hour later is silly, from bn24 it's not even worth humoring
Yeah I'm not sure an ad happens at all unless it was filmed well before Friday.

There's the article. Really good analysis by the writer.
Let me translate it for you, into a non-Zamunda double-articulated language (i.e. one of those which do not use "****" instead of letters)...
The web site is Boxing News 24 (no spaces)...
The article belongs to a bloke -- who signs as Sizzle JKD...

Sources? Lol.....didn't most people expect some kind of announcement at the Super Bowl anyway?
Maybe, but that doesn't mean you can make a thread saying it's on. . . It's only optimism at the moment.

sources is very vague. . . Forgive me for asking of whom these sources are you are referring to.

OK. Could mean an advert just before the Super bowl starts. Which would be an ideal time to announce the fight with so many people watching it.
True -- although I think that's risky. An ad before the game? Most people are still drinking, half not paying attention and so forth. At least until National Anthem. I could see an ad on Super Bowl Sunday but I think an announcement might get made before that day. I'm hopeful.
