Waste of time and tank resources for Cotto to be fighting nobodies at this point. He should try salvaging the Canelo fight before it's too late.

Cotto loses a lot of his leverage as there is no one else he can fight that will bring in as much money as Canelo. Canelo and Oscar agreed to a lower split in hopes of signing the fight early to undercut Floyd and take his date because they believed he would never fight Pac. Now if Pac/Floyd gets made Cotto has no other big money options (Roach won't let him near GGG) and team Canelo knows this so they will not give in to many demands. Cotto no longer has the threat of making a rematch with Floyd it appears. I say cut the BS and make the fight Cotto....take your ass whipping like a man.

lets be real, no way Cotto fights Glovokin at 160lbs. He didn't want to fight the lineal MW champ at 160lbs, he's defintely not gonna fight the more dangerous, bigger, in Glovokin at 160lb. Glovokin, will more than likely end up coming down to 155-158 or such. I don't know Sergio... it's a good thing Cotto made you come in light. Just as far as the date was concerned. Canelo was insisting on may 2nd. And, fighting on the same night as pac-may fight is not good business. Again he wouldn't have done that. Had Pacquiao/Mayweather been made, Canelo/Cotto would have moved to June. Oscar said this repeatedly. Not to mention HBO would co-broadcast with Showtime that night. THey wouldn't put Canelo/Cotto on a separate HBO card and hurt itself.

Why a catchweight, their both middle weight champions Just being realistic. Cotto is a blown up welterweight so no way he would risk against GGG at full MW. To be fair none of the "A" level welterweights or super welterweight would risk against GGG at 160.

If Floyd vs Manny does get made, it puts Cotto in a difficult situation, too. He will have no really lucrative options other than Canelo. I'm pretty sure both will want the fight then. GBP will pay Kirkland some step aside money and they will have their PPV. This ^^^^^^

canelo in a rush? canelo has been patient for over a year and a half. remember the 10 million dollar offer too cotto for march 2014? He wants to fight in May. Thats over three months away. With what we are hearing about the Pac-May fight being close to a done deal. If its signed Canelo should not fight Kirkland on that date. Should he have waited on the outcome and salvaged his fight with Cotto. They could of had a ppv fight in June. how about cotto fighting his mandatory. GGG.
