I doubt he did. I'd be much more concerned about him being an alcoholic or tweaker. Weed doesn't have as dramatic of an effect as either of those
decreases performance by decreasing reaction time. word is mike alvarado is on crystal meth though actually.
Not really, honestly. I used to smoke quite a bit and I could run 5 miles and work out for 2 hours or so afterwards with no issues at all. I felt completely focused and relaxed, much more so than if I was sober. It's a misnomer that it simply makes people "dumb and lazy". Now, I am in no way saying that it will do that for other individuals but for me personally, that was my experience.
I'm gonna agree with you on that. A lot of people I know rock climb and almost all of them are heavy weed smokers. Rock climbing is one of the most physically demanding sports out there
it decreases performance. mike looked like he smoked a blunt before he got in the ring

Alvarado was part of it. I think Rios may have learned a little something from his last few fights. He looked to be in extremely good shape, so he much have been 100% focused on the fight during training camp. As soon as the opening bell rang, Rios looked like a "Man on a Mission". He took it straight to Alvarado and never gave him a chance to breath.
I think if Rios stays this focused, he'll be a huge force in the division.
He doesn't have that "fire" anymore and he is on drugs. He should think about his family and friends, check himself into rehab, and get his life together.

Yep..Rios was like Whitaker,Pep and Loche rolled up in one with a touch of Manny and Chavez Sr on offense..his body work was sick
lol you do know he watches Chavez Sr fights while he is training. I was laughing when I saw him looking up at the tv and look and be hold it was a Chavez fight on one of el seckbach videos
About a minute into the first round, you could tell Mike was completely shot. I keep hearing things about him being a drug addict. He looks the part but can anyone confirm or deny this?
yeah weed is legal in colorodo man
those uppercuts man... they were devastating. Those snapped his head back.
The one that sent him on his knee was a beautiful one. those type of punches take something out of you long term. Alvarado needs to think of his health. At the very least, take a year long break.
Alvarado did rub his face/eyes after that uppercut... He didn't know what was going on. Perhaps, his vision was indeed blurry after the round. His reaction is consistent with that.

Mike looked great. :boxing:
He was about to turn it up in round 4, Rios got lucky.
:dunce:
Thats why he said 4 to the doc.
he meant he was going to ko rios in that round
:D
He looked horrendous, his head was like a bobble head for all 3 rounds. It was target practice for Rios. That was the kind of beating that fighters don't come back from. What's going on in his personal life?
