Why are yanks so exited about Stiverne vs Wilder?

Klitschko vs Pulev was the best matchup the division has to offer. The 2 best fighters. These fighters is well below that. Its a clubfight isn't it? SO were most of Arturo Gatti's fights but people loved to watch them, true or not?

It seems that people rather watch "Club Fighters" as you called Wilder and B-Ware than watch Wlad fight anyone. WIth that said Wlad probably has the best skills in the HW division but unfortunately has not had anyone to test him in years. I agree Wilder needs to be tested against better competition but I still think that last nights fight was fun to watch.....LeFtY

I just thought about this. What if Wilder stops Stiverne & Wlad but loses to Briggs? Shannon would start fighting cab drivers every week to mock Wlad. That would be a dream scenario doe Briggs did that all of 2014. At least he stayed busy and won them all though.

It was a good heavyweight scrap, first one I've enjoyed for quite a while. Stiverne could have won that fight but he has just no concept of how to cut off the ring and had way too little activity. You have to credit Wilder for that I guess, he was rarely in position long enough to let Stiverne let his hands go. Wilder would still lose to Vlad, but I'll definitely tune in the next time he fights he's still rough around the edges but he does have some good boxing ability. He needs to do some leg lifts though, those my pinky is bigger than that guys calves.

No clinches in the fight, just death by 1000 jabs for Stiverne. Stiverne was hurt twice in the fight, but Wilder was cautious of counters the entire time so the stoppage didn't come. Noice! But why do you have a bad opinion of Klitschko, Big Dunn? tunney Ive made my points often enough about wlad and the overall state of the HWT division and its lack of talent that you know why. Since you have been unable to refute any of my reasons you immediately say its because he's white and not american. It's 2015 and i'm not really in the mood for your usual stuff.

I'm not convinced about wilder yet. IMO he is still miles away from wlad, and everyone knows how little I think of wlad. Wilder did show me much more than I thought he had, which is a positive. wlad's last fight wasn't as garbage as his previous crap. also a positive. if they can set aside the politics and fight, I'd watch. It doesn't mean the HWT division is any better just because wilder showed he could do more than just beat up low skilled big men, but the way he won and has created a huge fight on the horizon which makes it far more interesting.

It is Garbage but most people just tuning in to see if Wilder is the pile of hyped horsesh*t most people suspect him to be. Thats how bad it is.

Actually think as bad as it was in terms of skill level Klitschko-Haye was the best. Never rated Povetkin highly in terms of skill. I think Wilder gets found out and tonight isn't really competitive, his only opportunity is an early KO if it goes past 4 banking on Stiverne.

Well its pretty obvious why. This fight has KO written all over. From all the experts, not one picked a decision. Plus people wants to see if Wilder is for real or hes just a hype job. Its a good match up and will watch it thats for sure:boxing:

I am, but I am saying Americans in general (casual fans mostly I am referring to/the general public) are excited because they see Wilder - an athletic looking guy with the KO record and a beltholder who's a bit pudgy...much smaller...generally unknown...and although whoever wins this is a paper champ, most people in the US seem to be excited to have a piece of the HW championship "back home". I got Stiverne winning anyway...just want to see a KO and then most of all I want a unification!!
