The more I think about it the more I see this fight taking place.
Oscar's tweet saying there is a possibility of a Mayweather vs Cotto fight. Arum sounding frustrated that Mayweather still hasn't signed. Even writers like Rafael saying they don't belive Mayweather will sign. All point to a real possibility of a Canelo vs Pacquiao fight.
They've talked about it before. We all know it would sell well, and could easily compete with Mayweather/Cotto for the May date. Canelo starting training early, possibly to begin dropping the lbs for a catch weight.
Yup I see it happening.
Which fl0mo was that? One of your eight other accounts gong?
well, I know of at least one that said Manny vs Cotto CW was despicable but then after the Floyd vs Canelo's CW was announced, he said "Not all CWs are the same. That CW is different because Canelo is bigger than Cotto " :lol1: .... and the poster is the one that posted a few posts above yours.
Funny thing is it was fl0mos saying how Canelo would benefit from the catchweight as it would force him to train harder :lol1:

We don't know ***** about boxing because we have an opinion about which fight we'd like to see?
Again I said the competitiveness of the fight would depend on how well Canelo can make weight. Like I've said, he's 24, and if he gets himself a good conditioning coach he may be able to make 152 comfortably. Of course there is not way to guarantee that, but it could happen. You add to the fact that Manny is no longer at his peak prime condition and you make for a good fight.
As far as Cotto is concern, I completely disagree that he's better now. He looked bad against Trout and a victory over a C- fighter in Rodriguez and a clearly handicapped Sergio Martinez is not convincing evidence that he's improved. If they fight again Mayweather UD.
So Canelo can make that weight because he's young? Well then why doesn't Broner fight at 130, he's young he can make the weight. Age has nothing to do with what weight you should be fighting at, it's your build. Canelo comes in weighting 165+ for nights if not more and that's at 155. You expect him to come down to 150? Even 152 would be horrible for him at this point, he doesn't even try to make 154 anymore.
A weight drained fighter against Manny isn't competitive. Canelo's only advantage in that fight would be power and by killing him to make weight you're taking that away. It's a mismatch.
I want it to happen just so I can read about how much healthier Canelo is at 150 than at 152.

Canelo is much healthier at 150.
It will allow him move faster, and it's better for his stamina.
You are with Evol in that you don't know anything about boxing if you think Pac/Canelo is competitive with Canelo drained to the max and that Floyd somehow does better now. The first fight wasn't dominate it was a clear win. Cotto is better now, fact. Floyd is worse and slower now, fact. Floyd will lose that fight should they meet again, and I had Floyd winning the first fight. (Prediction and result)

You obviously dont understand Manny and whats going on with Manny .
There is no way on this earth will Manny fight Canelo at 152 or above .
Manny wont even fight a real WW and they are all calling him out .
Which Manny has never done to any fighter...
surprised that fighters prefer catch-weights over re hydration clauses, unless you are trying to drain the other fighter...
If that's how you beat Floyd, how come Maidana lost? And Cotto fights coming forward better than 99% of boxers on this planet. Your boxing IQ is that of a Forrest Gump level, stop posting.
Forrest Gump analogy would imply that while he is slow witted he is incredibly successful despite his handicap.
Again the fights being more or less competitive is your opinion.
As I said with Nelo starting training early if he gets a good nutritionist he could probably make 152 fora catch weight. The guy is 24 not 34. Also with Pacquaio a bit past his prime this could make for a competitive fight.
On the other hand we've seen Cotto vs Mayweather. It will be the same result. In fact I see Mayweather being more dominant.

I would rather watch pac vs canelo. Atleast it's something new. Cotto is cool but he's not beating floyd. To beat floyd U need to come at him nonstop, and cotto fights nothing like that.

Fighters say a lot of things until they see the money. I could see a 150/152 catch weight.
True, but we are talking two cash cows here. Neither is desperate enough to compromise himself by giving in to the other's weight demands.
I would like to see it and given the GBP/TR hugfest, it might not be impossible to make now, but the weight issue will get in the way imo.
At what weight?
Canelo can't even make 154.
I agree he struggles to make weight which is why he's already in training camp. He hasn't made 154 but let's also not forget he hasn't had to. He's been the A side to Angulo and Lara so he could pretty much pick whatever weight he wanted.
Against Pac I'd think it be a different story. I'd think a good SC coach can get him to 152-153. Heck if Chavez Jr. fat arse was able to come down to 160 for Martinez when there were rumors he ballooned to 200 lbs, I think Nelo could do it.
And I'm aware that Pac has said he'd never fight above 147 again but it's a different story when a big money fight is being presented to you and your last 2 fights haven't been dazzling.
