Robert Garcia is the best boxing trainer for reinventing/improving a fighter

garcia is a good trainer, but hyped because floyd is a hypejob who could never handle pressure fighters

Robert Garcia is way overhyped as a trainer He had a ATG talent in Donaire and he trained him over the phone against Rigo and has looked bad ever since Pretty much. What he did there was criminal.

Maidana actually boxed successfully against mayweather and even countered in parts, nearly knocked him out on the 2nd fight. You should see how crude he was before Garcia. Maidana did better than Cotto/Mosley in his first fight. Thats a big improvement if you ask any boxing fan. Yes, he almost landed a counter on Floyd late in the first fight, and landed a solid shot early in the second ("nearly knocked him out" is a huge exaggeration). He still looks pretty crude to me.

After Maidana lost to Devon Alexander everyone thought he was done and Robert Garcia turned him into an absolute beast. Garcia made Ivan Redkach look really good tonight after a very poor performance in his last fight. Thoughts? He made Maidana a beast? All Maidana did to Floyd was put him on the ropes and threw punches that didn't land(overhyped) and looked like trash in the middle of the ring. Garcia had another shot at Floyd in the second fight to turn things around and Maidana looked even worse. Donaire got beat up, Dulorme barley squeaked out a win, Rubio quit in 2 rounds, Rios hasn't look impressive.

Best Trainer for anyone is Naazim Richardson. Nope Hopkins asked him if he should fight kovalev and he said yea you can beat him He was wrong

Do you think that Alex Ariza's involvement in Chino's first camp and absence in the second had anything to do with his physical conditioning deteriorating in the rematch? I'm not sure but I think it could be a possible variable in that particular situation. No question that Ariza's absence was to the detriment of Marcos' condition.

Dude rios is the same Garcia sucks as a trainer, all of his fighters come in overweight. Maidana was getting good wins before Garcia,,maidana beat Ortiz when Ortiz was supposed to be the next great Mexican,,Garcia is mediocre at best

He is a very respected trainer, no doubt, but I reckon you are exaggerating. Under Garcia Maidana has improved his conditioning, his jab and ring IQ, I agree, but he'd still struggle against certain styles, he is who he is. As for Rios, I wouldn't blame Garcia for his lack of evolution. I don't mean to disrespect, but the kid has already taken one punch too many imo.

Eh, he's very similar to Roach. He drills offensive fighters to let their hands go, that's about it.

i can't way to see his work with maciel. javier reminds me a lot of maidana
