Only two fights since 2009 at the weight. One of those fights was a CATCH WEIGHT!! That shouldn't be enough weight to have him being a champion as well as being ranked so highly. I thought in order to be ranked high in a division, you have to actually fight there often?? Correct?
This is also a fucked up part on the WBC/WBA and journalists(by ranking him up there in the division) for playing the politics game. Some boxers that actually put blood and sweat to win those belts get stripped so quick and removed from their rankings.
Why would you stripped TBE of his 152lb title when he legally defended it against Maidana 2 figthing at 147lbs the idea is insane never heard of.
You ever heard of Leonard vs Lalonde?
Mayweather could fight Rigondeaux for 154 belts if the sanctioning body allows it.
Either defend them or he should be stripped, no matter if we want to see the fights or not
Reasons are two-fold:
1. you get idiots spouting 'oh floyd is unified in two divisions so he TBE' or words to that effect. He only has those belts STILL due to sanctioning body corruption, which ties nicely to the second reason
2. Sanctioning bodies shouldn't hold fighters to different standards. Algerie was stripped of his title before he even fought.
Kudos to Floyd for unifying, though that doesn't mean he should keep them
If Floyd defended his belts against Rabchenko the entire boxing world would throw a fit.
There is not a single fighter at 154 right now that anybody wants to see him fight. It's so bad that people are asking for middleweights to drain themselves silly just so Floyd can defend his belt at the weight.
When a true 154 pound fighter cleans out the division and emerges as the top dog in the division Floyd will fight him. He would have fought Lara if he beat Canelo in impressive fashion because the fans would have demanded it. But Lara played it safe and left it in the judges hands.

Exactly! Specially the bold part.
So much contradiction in this thread. Who should he defend against?
The only contender available is Lara and none of you want to see that fight.
Andrade is a paper champ, Charlos ain't fight nobody, K9 is a paper champ, he already schooled Canelo and Cotto.
There is not a single fight at 154 that you guys want to see yet you want him to defend his belt at that weight?

LOL, no he isn't. Him and Canelo are the same height, 5'8", just like Floyd.

Wrong bro! Boxrec, wikipedia and every respectable site has GGG listed at 5'10.5... and besides the person standing towards the back is going to look the same size as the guy in the front, its the angle of the pic taken that makes them look equal in height...its all an illusion bro.:lol1:
LOL, Canelo was like 19 years old, GGG obviously took it easy on him. Nobody would know who Canelo is right now if GGG would have went balls to the wall on him in sparring that day.
Canelo is going to spark GGG in 8 :boxing: sig it. lol
Golovkin is 6 feet tall, lean and shredded at 160. He is not a JMW and he will ruin his career by going down in weight. That's why he's only willing to do it for Floyd because he will make more money in that one fight then he would for his entire career. Lara been calling him out for a year and they use the network/Haymon excuse. That same barrier exists with Floyd.
Lara would literally die in the ring vs GGG lol he was pissing blood vs canelo and he didn't even stay in the pocket for 1 second. GGG would KILL, KILLLLLL lara. lol

looks like Canelo put some hurt on GGG's nose brah
Mayweather should step down on his own the way Pacquiao did right after he won the bogus WBC 154 pound title from Margarito at a catch weight of 150. The WBC should not allow catch weight title fights and Floyd is greedy to keep titles he has no intention of ever defending.
he won the wba belt from cotto at 154. I don't want you out here spewing fiction
And defended it at 152 even though he claims to be against catch weights. I want to fight them at the weight were they feel comfortable. Remember that?
At least Pacquiao has never claimed to be against it and than turn around and do it anyway. Floyd knows his groupie minions will show up to defend his every move. Groupies have sheeple vision. lol!
