Was young Ali's defence not that good? secondly: Angles, distance, timing/counterpunching, headmovement, rhythm, reactions all go into making Rigo very difficult to hit. His problem is he sometimes loses concentration (most of the time when hes winning too easily) and gets tagged, but for the most part his defence is exceptional. Sorry Weebler, but his defence is actually that good Yes. But does he? He's had a dozen fights and been flat on his back a few times already. Floyd has had 47 fights, a lot of them top level title fights against big punchers and big names and never been dropped in the fashion Rigondeaux has. That is an amazing defence, even if you hate Floyd, that fact cannot be denied. Rigondeaux isn't on that level.
