I notice this underrated to overrated and vice versa trend is a big thing in boxing and other sports.
Tyson went from overrated to now becoming underrated by many. Claiming he 'backs' down from tougher fighters. He's 'mentally weak' and a variety of other laughable notions.
Pacquaio suffered from the same syndrome as Tyson. Going from massively overrated to now becoming underrated. People talking about Pacquaio now as if he wasn't ever in that 'Floyd tier' of talent when he very clearly was.
Kobe Bryant suffers from the same syndrome. Allen Iverson. Both great athletes that went from overrated to underrated.
Wladimir Klitschko suffers from another syndrome. The 'underrated' to 'overrated' trend. He wasn't the 'glass jaw weakling' that people made him out to be from around 2008-2012. But he sure as Hell isn't this 'top 5 H2H Monster' or 'top 10 ATG HW' that some people claim now. He's still what he was always ever since he got with Manny. A big talented power puncher with amazing skills who happens to have a very weak chin and who would get utterly murdered by any elite level fighter with an inside game and a aggressive nature.
Wlad can't be #1 all time. That's a joke. I can name at least 5 heavyweights who would be favored against Wlad all time.
who cares if you can predict a fantasy prediction, thats not a fact, its not a fact, its only an opinion, lol, like i said , lol, many opinions think wlad might be one of the greatest of all times(others may not), lol, unless you have some ****in time machine that will place every great fighter from every era on a ring(in their prime) to fight, your azz will never know who will win by era, lol, all you can do is just guess, lol, i dont give a **** about guessing, now its impossible, we can only go by the facts about what they accomplished and their dominance agaist their contemporaries, lol, wlad is a all time great, everybody would agree
you knew that the wiki guy wrote the article but you wrote a giant post on it(i didnt read everything cuz u sounded hostile), speak to him, relax with me, lol relax
in the beginning of the thread, i wrote #1 all time is a matter of opinion, many people have this opinion, you dont have to agree, lol, you cannot change everybodies opinion even if you dont like them, your opinion is yours, i wont force you to believe my opinion, if somebody tells you something that resembles a opinion, just relax, itll do you good
think about that and just breathe:boxing::boxing:

But you did say he's accomplished something no one else had, which is untrue and you also said he could be #1 of all times, which is also not true, at least not on the planet we live on.

Are we expected to eat this? This is the biggest load of crap I've ever read in my life. Who's the longest reigning WBU or IBU or WBF champion? Or whatver they are called?
IBO & WBO... jesus christ. The WBO wasn't even recognized by ring before the mid 2000s! How can we now start giving legit world title defences for something like that? Makes no sense. it was a joke belt all the way through the 90s.
The IBO isn't even recognized now! We might as well not have it.
He has accumulated a lot of defences for various belts, and we have to respect that. But we also need to take into context what exactly happened.
Realistically, Wlad hasn't been THE heavyweight champion longer than since Chagaev, or even more factually, Povetkin. Which means his actual 'title' defences i.e. the actual title that can be traced to John L Sullivan counts 9 or 2 if you're factual about it.
Now, before someone says: "there wasn't more belts back in the day", well that simply isn't true and it's bs. There has been multiple belts since the 60s, yet the one everyone counted was the actual, true, lineal defence of the title i.e. the man who beat the man.
So no, Wlad hasn't done anything no other man has done before besides defending a newly created belt no one before him ever cared about in his division.
Add to that, his resume doesn't consist of many world beaters, if any, so I would safely conclude that there's absolute no sane argument to be made that he's #1 of all times. At all.

Fuck yeah!
You know what, I've changed my mind, now I want elroy to be a mod, not junior gong.
Dude's objectivity is off the charts.
This is a fact.
Deal with it, haters.
#elroyformod
About time we get some knowledgeable mods in this place! :lol1:
There is only one word possible to describe your opinions...
"Unbelievable!"
The guy utterly dominates opponents who would in turn utterly dominate previous eras.
Wladimir's STAY BUSY opponent, undersized Jean Marc Mormeck, would in previous eras been either HW champ, or else the BEST opponent ever faced.
This is a fact!
Fuck yeah!

It's now becoming increasingly clear that Wladimir is the greatest HW who ever lived.
It was unimaginable how any boxer would be able to top LEnnox Lewis but in the very next generation it seems to have been done.
Completely transformed boxing from a scrap to a game of chess.
Tore down the very foundations of boxing and rebuilt them in his own image.
THIS time, I think we will have a pretty long wait until somebody tops him.
The bar has been raised extremely high now.
:rofl2: ..
You asked a reasonable question and the idiot brigade of Vlad descended upon you.... Yeah for the record, it does happen a lot probably because the media always distorts, exxagerates and uses hyperbole to discuss athletes and their accomplishments.
We can probably say that a fighter like Mayweather and even Ward, is elite. they have fought good to excellent comp, shown mastery over this comp, etc. Ward cleaned out his division before digressions caused a problem for him. mayweather, as loathsome as he is has also shown greatness. Vlad? has fought in a very weak division, against suspect comp and...when faced with a reasonably compitant challenge like Sam Peter...practically got Koed. This is not dominant and...the young lions continue to wait for an opportunity to test Vlad...time will tell.

Who gives a crap what you think.
You belong in the History section exclusively.
Your opinions have absolutely no basis in reality whatsoever!
It is what it is, undeniable now. All your heroes were nothing by comparison!
They would be like dim brown dwarf stars utterly lost in the brilliant glare of their parent blue supergiant.

The WBO was slow to take hold at HW, but was embraced by lower divisions well. By the time it was in the hands of Klitschko, it had attained the same credence as the others. The WBO is a MAJOR title.
Although the IBO is not regarded as a major title, it is regarded as the FAIREST title, awarded to whom the REAL best boxer is by a mathematical formula. Since that guy would always be ONE of the major belt holders, it is usually always gained in conjunction with one of the major belts as well.
He beat the living **** out of all of his opponents, that's what happened.
The landscape of boxing is far different now from previous eras. It is HARDER OBVIOUSLY to win multiple belts AND to defend them all. More guys to beat to get them, more mandatories to defend them, and more red tape to unravel as well.
Wladimir Klitschko has been the OBVIOUS champion since 2004, when both Lewis retired and Vitali had first retired. Therefore he has been THE REAL HW champion for over 10 years now, he also has never been beaten since either. This is in the eyes technically (if you hold a major belt, you are a champ!) And realistically in the eyes of every objective fan, all except low life mindless morons like you. If he wasn;t the champ, who was dummy? Pfft!
The "lineal" championship has meant little to nothing since the days of Michael Spinks! Multiple belts eventually made it irrelevant. Briggs gained the lineal championship from Foreman who never even HAD a major belt by that stage because he DUCKED all his mandatory opponents to cherry pick. What sort of standard is that! Spinks was among the weakest HW champs of all time and nothing but a 1 punch KO for Tyson, almost an afterthought after he unified.
Wladimir established his OWN lineage, by being beyond any doubt the most superior boxer in the sport.
Wladimir uprooted the flag of HW boxing from US soil and transplanted it to the opposite side of the world and holds an entire country of hundreds of millions of people on their knees because they can barely even compete anymore, after 150 years of dominance.
There has never been anything LIKE Klitschko in history, and there probably never will be for quite some time.
He has possibly the best and most extensive resume of all time.
You have exposed yourself as a complete and UTTER moron now.
NEVER go full retard Bieber! ;)

Klitschko is the current Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, lineal, WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring world champion (see List of heavyweight boxing champions.) Klitschko is the longest reigning IBF, WBA, WBO & IBO heavyweight champion in history with the most title defenses for the IBF, WBO & IBO titles. Overall, he is the second longest reigning Heavyweight Champion of all time with the second most successful career grand total title defenses with 22 (including his "super" title recognition). On 13 October 2013, Boxrec rated Klitschko as the number two pound-for-pound fighter in the world. On 15 December 2014, he reached a career peak of number two on the pound-for-pound list of The Ring. Klitschko is second on the all-time list for most heavyweight title fights with 26, behind only Joe Louis with 27. He is the younger brother of former WBC, WBO & Ring magazine heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko.
Since 2005 Wladimir Klitschko has been the dominant force in the heavyweight division, defeating a majority of the top heavyweights in the rankings. When Klitschko won the IBF title against Chris Byrd there were four separate Heavyweight Champions. Since then, he has unified the IBF, IBO, WBO & WBA belts and defeated the WBA Champion in recess. Following his win over Ruslan Chagaev, Klitschko was awarded the vacant Ring Magazine Heavyweight title.
Klitschko has held at least a piece of the heavyweight championship since 2006, when he won the IBF title. The most recent bout in which he claimed a piece of the undisputed title was when he won the WBA championship from David Haye in 2011.

I don't really think he is invincible. But I do think he smashes up what would otherwise be extremely good opponents.
He will finish those 2, Wilder and Fury in particular very early with savage KO's. Totally mirk them, because they have no chins, atleast not to contend with that kind of power and precision.
I think he raised the level to such extreme heights now that it is difficult for anybody else to compete properly.
People crap on now about how Pulev was simply too inexperienced, which is true to an extent, but when you consider similarly experienced Ray Mercer how he gave hiding to Lennox Lewis, it puts it in perspective. And Pulev was larger and more skilful with equally good chin as Ray was!
I would not want to be a HW with this guy around.
He has the best real HW record of all time.
And he is the most dominant champion who ever lived, with such an extensive 66 fight career and counting and in that entire span of his career, barely ever getting hit, completely breaking down and knocking out most of his opponents like never before seen and losing clearly only a handful of rounds of boxing, ever!
For some time now, he can only be described in one way.
Almost invincible.
Wladimir Klitschko certainly isn't invincible, no boxer is.
The problem is, nobody at HW right now is good enough to beat him. Wilder, Fury? Pleaseee, Wlad will brutalize them.
What is it others before him hasn't accomplished?
He has the best real HW record of all time.

Pacquiao went from young to old, so Did Kobe and Iverson. Pacquiao is being sh*tted on now because he lost it, he's piling up a resume of cans, and the only way he'll fight any competitive fighter like Cotto II or Canelo is if they go down below 150, which defeats the purpose of one of the advantages they have. He won't fight D. Garcia, Khan, Maidana, Broner, or Matthysse because his promoter doesn't work with their adviser. His career is basically done but people still rate him highly for what he is doing even now, as seen on the P4P lists and top 10 lists.
i went to the same conclusion in what you said about floyd, for a moment there i thought you were talking about floyd till i realised your favorite fighter and allegiance goes to the mayweather mafia, lol, thats biased, i am no floyd fan or pac fan, i dont respect floyd for the reasons you said, floyd practices what you said the most, lol, to floyd(your boy) health comes first, his words of course lil homie, lol
