Cotto/Canelo doesn't make sense.

Yes, the fearsome knockout artists that are Trout and Lara! That certainly proves Canelo would fight anyone. Trout is every bit the feared killer that GGG is. Everybody has balls against featherfisted boxers, regardless of how good they are. Canelo is a scared little girl when GGGs name is but mentioned. Canelo is also a fool for impulsively calling off negotiations. The Cotto fight is more beneficial to him than the other way around, he needs that fight more, and has more to gain. I never realised how egotistical and dumb Canelo is. He cannot hold his nerve during negotiations. Now fans use sarcastic tones to describe what Trout and Lara are on Canelo's resume. But before he fought them and proved he's at the same level as them, he was supposedly ducking them. I wish more fans would say what they really feel about a win, before it happens, rather than after the fact. If you think Cotto is washed up and old, say it now, don't wait until Canelo outboxes him. If you think GGG is an overrated fighter who was destroying a garbage division, say it now instead of after Canelo holds his own in a close fight against him. If you don't think too highly of Andrade, say it now, before Canelo shows he's just as good or better. Say everything now, or else, to me you are nothing but a bullsh*tter if you start to analyze an opponent after he loses. When you were hyping him up before.

Kev, I am totally in agreement with everything you say here. I am also a big fan of Canelo (which can be easily verified by my posting history). I am rooting for Cotto here cause I was a Cotto fan before I was a Canelo fan and was just answering the thread headline, which I find to be slightly trollish. These Canelo Kids are mad as hell. No real resume yet and they are acting like he is the GOAT. Notice, NONE of them want to mention GGG though. Their idol is limited... if floyd fights cotto again, everything that has been going on in the floyd vs pac negotiations will start to make sense when you start to assume that floyd knew all along that he wasnt going to fight manny. you can expect some serious backlash from fans when they realise that they have been suckered by mayweather again. i guarantee that plenty of voices will be calling for a boycott of the fight and it will seriously affect the ppv sales. i doubt arum would ever consider sitting down to negotiate with this group ever again... and i would not blame him one bit.

Does cotto have that title already and is available before Floyd negotiated for a Maidana rematch? If so why did Floyd do the Maidana rematch instead if fighting Cotto for that very important lineal title?
