Floyd is already a lock for the HOF. Not even debatable really. Sure, a fight with Pac is due, but some people here are so biased, all their dislikes mutate into bizarre discredits. You can argue all day why the fight we wanted to see never happened before, but that was yesterday. Today is different, we never hear a word from Mayweather that he wants the fight, after he said that "finish the other fight, then we'll talk". Well now, no talk. There is no doubt now that the other guy wants the fight, and no doubt now that Mayweather is still afraid of the fight. How can you claim to be TBE, when there is something missing? And nothing seems to work so far to get him to fight. Boxing organizations, networks, fans, fellow fighters, are hopeless. Our last hope is that the voters in the official boxing hall of fame would never get him to the BHOF, because as of now, there is not enough reason for Mayweather to be in the BHOF, unless he truly is fearless. i hate floyd as much as the next guy and would love for him to get shunned by the boxing fall of hame but it is called the boxing hall of FAME not he hall of achievements so even if achieved nothing in boxing (actually has done plenty) he would still get in due to the level of hame he has achieved in boxing

There has never been a fighter who has been ranked P4P #1 and not made IBHOF and he won't be the exception.

This is an excellent thread, written like a well articulated article. I truly believe his ducking of Pacquiao will be a big factor when he is considered for the HOF, don't be surprised if he never makes it like Pete Rose. Only Pete Rose was actually talented and accomplished. Floyd is all name, crap resume.
