Anyone else hear this on the Nov 12th Ringside Toe2Toe Podcast?
Co host Spencer Fearon was saying that although A.J'S persona in the media is 'Stay hungry, stay humble', they were at a r'n'b concert and Wilder's name came up in convo. Joshua got all animated saying "I would mess him up!"
Interesting
There's a few guys who might beat Wilder. The only real problem is, what if he lands? The guy has thunder in that right hand. Eventually, it's gonna land. I wanna see what happens when it lands, and the other guy doesn't fall.
Watch his fight against Master Charles Zelenoff

Both still untested, the difference is Joshua only been Pro for 1 Year now, Wilder been Pro since 2008 and is just now getting ready to fight better competition
Don't forget he was involved on robberies and other criminalities, I wonder how that fares when he has to travel abroad?
He says the right things, but like Dirk said he's media trained can't ruin his image already.
Right now Wilder beats him. But I'm glad he's started showing some more personality.
He was starting to look a bit too humble imo. Boxers need to be confident in themselves
Here it is..

To be fair, I don't think it was directed at Kugan.....who shat his pants btw :lol1:
:lol1: at this comment
''That was a little girl's okay when AJ became serious.***65279;''
I have a feeling his hiding china behind all that bigness.
They all are though at that size. With the exception of Vitali(who's chin was massively overrated still). All these super heavyweights have chin issues to various degrees. Lewis/Wlad/Bowe/ etc etc But in the case of those 3............2 are top 10 ATG'S and one is a top 20 ATG and top 10 H2H. Their overall qualities override whatever chin issues they have though and they don't need to rely on granite chins when they have those other attributes.
Another fucing bragging boxer. Saying you are going to beat the hell out of Wilder and actually doing it are two entirely different things. Anybody can say they will beat Wilder but I will believe it when I see it.
Joshua is clearly very well trained by Eddie Hearn and Matchroom to say all the right things to the media but occasionally, he lets his wig slip.
I remember he got properly pissed off when Kugan Cassius reminded him that Dillian Whyte beat him in the amateurs. He said something like "I'll knock your fukin head off".
i'm trying to find this. Just found the November 12th toe2toe and nothing about Joshua came up? Is it the youtube version or the skysports.com version?
It's on the full podcast on itunes. Around 36 mins in, I just listened to it.
Somehow I don't believe Joshua when he says that, I think the two are like for like but Deontay has a massive advantage of punching power over Joshua.
Deontay imo would KO him, It'd be a bit of a war but I'd imagine Joshua would get chin checked first.

This is the truth. He's shown it on a few occasions. At the end of the day, he's a little bit of a thug from Watford right? There's a reason he was banned from the town. His friends look like some kind of people as well.
He's probably a nice guy, but I like him being a little mean. And his idol is Mike Tyson so hopefully some of that will come out.
Any good heavyweight his own size with power and a good right hand knocks him out.
Joshua still only has like 11 fights, give him time to season. This is the problem when guys win a gold medal and then get put on a pedestal, Johnson is a good fight for him to get some rounds in but hopefully Hearn doesn't get carrried away and rush him too quickly.
