he didn't bother after he realised he couldn't make it, not every fighter is delusional like dawson or hoya
or do you think floyd is that scummy that he knew it was the only way to get a lightweight to fight him at 147, give him the bait of 144 then pull the rug from under him, is this what you think?
Ok well, that isn't "cheating Marquez" then. I do think he had trouble making the weight.
Yes it does and no I am not thick, are you? You can't use two opposite arguments to suit 2 different questions. You're saying that Pac is "a lot smaller" and used the fact that Floyd couldn't get under 146 as an example. I've also heard that he "didn't bother" to make weight for Marquez and cheated him on the scales. There can only be one of 2 answers. He COULDN'T make weight or DIDN'T BOTHER?? If he COULDN'T, then he didn't cheat Marquez. If he DIDN'T BOTHER, then your argument about him not getting under 146 has no merit. You can't have it both ways!

Yeah exactly what is so stupid on here sometimes....this place is too discuss and sppreciate great fighters and ppl completely ignore floyds skill 80% of the times as if he isnt the best
I really want to see what the excuses are when he absolutely schools Pac.
does it have to be one or the other, or you thick or what? was he just looking for an excuse to throw money away?

Which is it? Did Floyd cheat Marquez and not bother or he was not able to make weight? Cuz it seems people use either when it suits their argument .

can floyd make 140? no? he's alot smaller
floyd couldn't get under 146 at 32

Yeah because Cotto was soooooo drained coming in 1 pound lighter than his last six or so fights.
Cotto was such a REJUVENATED fighter at 154 after getting pasted by PAC and Tony.
Canelo had a HOF resume didn't he? He wasn't drained doe was he? He didn't need a stool at the weigh in did he?
And Shane was sooooo much different when he fought Pac and Floyd, such a stark difference.
I never said he was drained, but he himself said that he had lost his confidence after the Margarito fight and the fights proceeding it showed that. Roach even admits that they picked him because he didn't look like the same fighter. If Pac DIDN'T think he was a REJUVENATED fighter at 154, then why didn't he fight him there when he was calling for the rematch in 2012? Obviously he thought it was a MUCH more difficult fight then.
What does hall of HOF resume have to do with anything? Didn't Pac just fight Algieri?? LOL! Yeah because Cotto was soooooo drained coming in 1 pound lighter than last fight, right?
It doesn't matter if Shane was different or not. The point is, FLOYD was willing to face him, Pac was NOT! Floyd was willing to face a 154 Cotto, Pac was not! Floyd was willing to face a 152 Canelo, Pac is not. So how can Floyd be a coward and he is taking challenges that Pac is not willing to? All that deflection and still didn't answer the question.
So then what would you call Pac if he is fighting fighters that Pac will not? ie (Cotto @154, Canelo at 152, Mosley at the time)

How is he a lot smaller when they keep coming in the ring the same weight? Even getting down to 144, he still came in the ring at 149. That is more than Floyd is some fights.

That's cool . . . All it got was the usual Floyd hate anyway, bar 1 or 2 posts
Sad. You would think this is a gossip or Teenybopper board or something. This is a GREAT breakdown of a boxing master. No matter what you think of Floyd, it can be argued that is skill level is unparalleled. People are so emotionally invested in hating the guy, that they can't see through that to appreciate that they are watching truly special fighter. This is a BOXING site, isn't it???
well pacquiao is alot smaller than floyd though bellend

Ok, Pac fought Cotto with that same CATCH WEIGHT! I never once said it was fair, but guess what? You CLAIM that Floyd isn't fighting anyone dangerous, but would Pac fight Canelo at 152? Nope! So all you did was deflect and never answer the question. What does it say for Pac that Floyd would take on fighters or fights that he wouldn't? Let me guess, he gets a pass??

He fought Cotto before and if you want to talk about 154, Cotto already gotten his ass whooped twice really bad before Floyd. It would of been credible if Floyd would of fought Cotto @ 147 when it truly mattered. Instead he did a fake retirement.
Cotto had gotten his ass whooped 1x really bad b4 Pac beat him and didn't look the same and he still asked for a catchweight. Pac was going after Cotto for a rematch, so to say it wasn't signifigant when Pac wouldn't fight him there doesn't say too much for Pac. OBVIOUSLY, he thought it was a different fight at 154 otherwise he would've taken the fight with him.....which Floyd did. Stop with the none sense. Floyd told Arum he would fight Cotto for the right money, Arum didn't want to pay him, to he went his own way and never worked with Arum again. Cotto himself said he NEVER asked for the fight, was never offered the fight and never lobbied for the fight. That my friend is NOT duck on Floyd's part. If you say it is, then it is a duck on Cotto's part as well.
With Canelo....CATCH WEIGHT. All them years you stans yapped and yapped with catch weights, as soon as a boxer you guys like did it(Floyd), oh oh it's fair. The catch weight takes shine out of that fight just like it takes a shine out of the Pac fights he put catch weights with.

Oh it's funny cause you Floyd stans are putting more standards on a guy fighting above 7 divisions than a guy at 5.
Stop please! Pac just came into the ring at 149 the other night. That's the same weight that Floyd come into the ring. You just wanna hold Floyd to a higher standard and then not give him credit.
So then what would you call Pac if he is fighting fighters that Pac will not? ie (Cotto @154, Canelo at 152, Mosley at the time)

He's able to do that because he doesn't take many risks. When he actually took risks, he didn't look as sensational. His skills get overrated too much. He's a great boxer but he's too risk adverse.
