If I remember correctly...
Tarver screwed Sly over in the last Rocky movie. They had filled the whole venue with "fans" or whatever to do the shoot and Tarver wouldn't go in front of the camera till they paid him X amount of dollars (can't remember how much he wanted). Finally they had to pay him because of the months of planning for the shoot that day. I heard it on Howard Stern when Sly called in
Fun facts: Ernie Shavers was considered for the role of Clubber Lang. Stallone sparred with him as an audition and grew frustrated when Shavers wouldn't throw anything more than soft pitty pats, leading to Stallone saying, "C'mon Ernie, show me something real." Shavers punched him once near the liver and Stallone immediately quit. Stallone later said, "that nearly killed me. I went straight to the men's room and threw up."
Also, Hulk Hogan received 10k for the role of Thunderlips. He said Stallone was maybe 150 pounds soaking wet but insisted on doing all the stunts for their fight himself. When it came time to do the body slam, Stallone spit up blood when Hogan landed on top of him. Stallone left the ring, wouldn't do another take on it, and spent the rest of the afternoon in his trailer.
Moral of the story; Sylvester Stallone was f*cking nuts.
Lol that's wild :lol1:

:lol1: :lol1: we will never see Ward fight again
If he does really good doa? and if he has a comback fight against de la hoya doa? in both cases he would be clinching an oscar!
Plot twist: Andre Ward is another Daniel Day-Lewis and wins an Oscar.
He subsequently reprised his role as a young boxer holding on to....well holding on period.
He will be the first actor to win an oscar for best clinching :lol1:
Leave it to a hater to screw up a golden opportunity: pay attention!
"Ward will become a great actor, his performance just clinched an Oscar! Or ws he clinching De La Hoya?"
Honestly this is a good move by Ward, it keeps him relevant in the public & sport. If he can't fight, atleast stay famous so that when he does fight again he still has some pull with the ratings.
You realize this movie won't come out for another year or so at least?
He needs to get back in the ring before then or the only thing this movie will have people saying about him is, "Who the f*ck is this monotone guy with sleepy eyes?"

Or he could just carry on fighting and be entertaining, it never harmed Tommy Morrison popularity.
Ward does not seem like the Hollywood type. He needs to get a real fight. Not a movie fight.
Or he could just mention GGG name on an interview...
That seems likely, good way for him to grab some attention.
