I know, as a man, he is a sweetheart ... but, as a boxing anouncer, he seems superficial now, a discernible lack of soul in his voice. :(
Depends on which buffer shows up sometimes he's great sometimes he's **** and you can tell he's not feeling it.
**** all that tho the question should be is lampley past his prime lol
Yes he's post-prime. He's not helped by the fact that there haven't been too many rumbles to get excited about lately. Saturday night will be a good indication of where he's at.
not sure why jimmy lennon jr isn't getting more love. he's a great, great announcer. hall of famer, all time great.
I agree. Lennon and Buffer are still at the top of their game, and I appreciate everything they've given to the sport.
When I used to live out on the west coast back in the day, and I used to watch Oscar De La Hoya fights with my female mexican coworker and her family, when Michael Buffer introduced the golden boy, I could literally feel the blood and adrenaline rushing of all 20-30 people in the living room...
Drunk as **** we were by the main event, we used to get so rowdy it was unreal.
Michael may not look it with a crap ton of make up on but pretty sure he is a 111 years old. However even with dementia forgetting his "lets get ready to rumble" half way through he'd still be better than all the rest out there right now.
Buffer has a certain tone to his voice that just makes things sound epic. When the main event hits and he unleashes, READY TO RUUMBLE, you know ***** is about to go down.
On the other hand, I do like Jimmy Lennon Jr. He's a classy guy but his voice doesn't carry the same "powa" as Buffer's. Buffer delivers the introductions with pop. Lennon just delivers with propa speech, lol.
Buffer sparks out Jimmy Lennon Jr. and the guy with the long ass dreads on the same night
war buffer
diamond dave!
dude gets freaking torched in the press room before fights. listens to big time jams. i'm a fan.
